Here\u2019s the latest:<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">OHIO: Ohio insurers finalized premiums increases by as much as 22.27 percent for some plans because of Trump and Republican sabotage.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cleveland.com\/metro\/index.ssf\/2018\/10\/ohio_obamacare_2019_costs_rise.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Cleveland Plain Dealer<\/a>: \u201cAccording to federal filings, its Classic Gold Plan will increase premiums 22.27 percent over last year. \u2026 [Oscar Health\u2019s Ohio market director] also attributed rising rates to \u2018misguided decisions in Washington to eliminate the individual mandate and create short-term plans that are a poor substitute for ACA (Affordable Care Act) plans.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">COLORADO: Colorado insurers finalized average premium increases of 5.6 percent after this year\u2019s premium spike due to Trump\u2019s sabotage.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.denverpost.com\/2018\/10\/04\/colorado-health-insurance-premiums\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Denver Post<\/a>: \u201cThe Colorado Division of Insurance released its long-awaited 2019 health insurance plans and premiums Thursday, approving 5.6-percent average increases in premiums for individual plans. \u2026 \u2018This is a dramatic change from last year&#8217;s severe increases, which were exacerbated by instability at the federal level and the Trump administration&#8217;s last-minute decision to cut off cost-sharing reduction payments.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">NORTH DAKOTA: North Dakota insurers finalized premium increases by as much as 25.9 percent for some plans.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/grandforksherald.com\/business\/healthcare\/4505029-nd-plan-aims-reduce-individual-health-premiums-10-20-percent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Grand Forks Herald<\/a>: \u201cFor consumers who buy individual coverage through the marketplace, premium increases for 2019 will be 2.29 percent for Blue Cross Blue Shield customers, 21.5 percent for the Sanford Health Plan and 25.9 percent for Medica.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">FLORIDA: Florida insurers finalized rate increases by nearly 1o percent for some plans because of Trump administration sabotage.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/healthcare\/florida-raises-obamacare-rates-by-5-percent\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Washington Examiner<\/a>: \u201cFlorida finalized an average rate hike for Obamacare plans of 5.2 percent Wednesday, with insurers blaming the Trump administration as the reason for the spike. The insurance department released the final rates on Wednesday, with some plans getting a hike of as high as nearly 10 percent, and others experiencing a decline of as much as 1.5 percent.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">INDIANA: Indiana insurers are requesting double-digit premium increases on average as a result of Trump and Republican sabotage.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.indystar.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2018\/06\/22\/obamacare-insurers-seeking-rate-increase-partly-blame-end-individual-mandate-indiana\/726621002\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Indianapolis Star<\/a>: \u201cThe Trump administration argues it wants to give consumers more choices, including going without coverage and buying cheaper plans that don\u2019t include all the benefits required by the Affordable Care Act. Insurance companies say that will pull the healthier people out of the Obamacare market, leaving them with a more expensive pool of patients to cover next year. By contrast, CareSource says it could cut premiums by 10 percent if all the young and healthy Hoosiers eligible for Obamacare plans sign up next year. Instead, CareSource is seeking an average 10 percent increase in premiums, according to its rate request recently filed with the Indiana Department of Insurance.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">KENTUCKY: Kentucky insurers requested premium rate increases of as much as nearly 20 percent.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.wymt.com\/content\/news\/Kentucky-health-insurance-companies-request-higher-rates-in-2019-486278341.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">WYMT<\/a>: \u201cCareSource submitted a request for a rate increase of 19.4 percent for 12 plan offerings.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\">NEW YORK: New York insurers requested premium increases averaging 24 percent in the individual market.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.syracuse.com\/health\/index.ssf\/2018\/06\/ny_insurers_blame_double-digit_rate_hikes_on_trumps_repeal_of_individual_mandate.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Syracuse.com<\/a>: \u201cMany New York health insurers who sell individual policies say they will need double-digit premium increases next year because of the Trump administration&#8217;s repeal of Obamacare&#8217;s individual mandate penalty. Office of the Health Insurance Commissioner.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">VERMONT: Vermont insurers have requested annual rate increases of up to 10.9 percent.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/vermontbiz.com\/news\/2018\/may\/11\/blue-cross-requests-75-rate-hike-mvp-109\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vermont Business<\/a>: \u201cBlue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont (BCBSVT) is requesting an average annual rate increase of 7.5% over 2018 rates, while MVP Health Care (MVP) is requesting a 10.9% average annual rate increase.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">OREGON: Oregon insurers requested average premium rate hikes of up to 14.3 percent.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/portlandtribune.com\/pt\/9-news\/395519-288825-with-individual-mandate-nixed-obamacare-rates-going-up-\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Portland Tribune<\/a>: \u201cOregonians who buy their own health coverage will see significant premium hikes, as carriers react to Trump administration changes and rising health care costs. Federal subsidies hold down premiums for about half of Oregonians. But for others, the state&#8217;s three largest carriers, Providence, Kaiser and Moda, have proposed average rate hikes ranging from 6.4 percent to 14.3 percent in the individual market.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">VIRGINIA: Virginia insurers are requesting significant premium hikes, by as much as 64 percent.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"http:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/healthcare\/386294-obamacare-insurers-in-virginia-propose-major-premium-hikes-for-2019\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">The Hill<\/a>: \u201cTwo of Virginia\u2019s ObamaCare insurers are requesting significant premium hikes for 2019, according to initial filings released Friday. Both Cigna and CareFirst BlueCross BlueShield cited policies advocated by the Trump administration, including the repeal of ObamaCare&#8217;s individual mandate, as part of its justifications for the increases. Cigna is proposing an average premium increase of 15 percent for its 103,264 customers in Virginia, with a range of increases from 6.4 percent to 40 percent.
