The transcript reveals more damaging information about ties between the Trump campaign and Russia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A federal prosecutor told the court that Manafort&#8217;s August 2016 meeting with Konstantin Kilimnik \u2014 a known Russian agent \u2014 goes \u201cvery much to the heart\u201d of Mueller\u2019s investigation.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The court asked \u201cwhether Kilimnik knew who he was working for\u201d when he met with Trump\u2019s campaign chairman three months before the 2016 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"CToWUd a6T\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/HMJz6E4Sb0gNNHptj7bGnvtCK7Ou9VXEWNSnxbZcU_w2rRx6O_h_tFDJkvBTd73gxcCKf_d6W86toRxb_S4PJKqEre-SFGmnFB_TqGy0RbBdBdvYJk24-nuBCpalegLTvXGNmKWH\" width=\"483\" height=\"298\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The transcript also revealed that Manafort and Kilimnik talked about a Ukraine peace plan from August 2016 until at least winter 2018.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The special counsel had previously disclosed that Manafort had contacts with the Trump White House into 2018.\u00a0 Now we know that Manafort was still working on a Ukraine peace plan at that time &#8212; and potentially lobbying the White House.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"CToWUd a6T\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/tJfWsLYKXPy7zZfzY5rD2DBZ20TFw7nv14TyB2ZvCiou4ZuZ2_nOx25GSFGMdtEDdwnFjJ27SLoIy-KfJGdTycq21ttuI-WDPcXaBzIX7_i1CyXpF6nn3gMxagtVWzkLDXdI_Wik\" width=\"477\" height=\"376\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">A prosecutor made it clear that Manafort and Kilimnik did not want to be seen together.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">He revealed that Kilimnik and Manafort \u2014 friends and longtime business associates \u2014 had gone out of their way to keep their August 2016 meeting a secret.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"CToWUd a6T\" src=\"https:\/\/lh3.googleusercontent.com\/FFL4FFq3XtXKPMlaWV4Nb79AVw0yaeM5objXOuF-kb8XxiDAww5G_O7ohYxhSwG4Ypzhj-E0ygXmAgdjBY-QkCqXKQ6bYYtD0wRIBL6tH2cNOie4Uprnmhdi2vU2EW_D7PwonBXV\" width=\"487\" height=\"191\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">In a redacted section of the transcript, a prosecutor mentions Manafort\u2019s use of a backdoor.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Using a backdoor connection to conspire with a foreign adversary is illegal. Maybe that\u2019s why Manafort and Kliminik wanted to cover it up.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"CToWUd a6T\" src=\"https:\/\/lh5.googleusercontent.com\/LLZx9ntoz8nZwwtcgmLqFn6gwncsfsJ-dAsaqFHLjyD2Yt9dhYFM0gNPm0bwG2p2xqru6ZR5XYAqtX5ylBxDRQRFobuVsTQoaZczMoQ8IUVWGMBa9Mq6HBRnJmq-V2z6mdK0v5b7\" width=\"480\" height=\"198\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The transcript suggests that someone got a job in the Trump administration after Manafort put in a good word.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">If Manafort successfully got someone a job at the White House, he also had someone on the inside who was beholden to him.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"CToWUd a6T\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/0pigAlsUHhLar-9aRhy_rwx_RbNsoOl1Kkqli9fWC3h7eiImsgKH9VCmCtXaaQW2z4KvsxvaqfxQjWj2oTSmQjCQCxoCcey6iTYXdXtH9T4gZ5wO5jz1kC29sAKyW9s7ZpiLZ6d6\" width=\"478\" height=\"221\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Mueller and his team are far from done.
