Workers are still struggling to recover from the 35-day Trump Shutdown — the longest in our history. Now, with one week to go before the funding deadline, the White House won\u2019t rule out another government shutdown.<\/p>\n

Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney said that he \u201cabsolutely cannot\u201d rule out another shutdown, and Trump\u2019s top economic advisor Kevin Hassett said that \u201call options are on the table.\u201d<\/p>\n

Question: “Do you think the president would in fact shut the government down again?” Hassett<\/a>: “All options are on the table.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mulvaney<\/a>: \u201cThe government shutdown is technically still on the table.\u201d<\/p>\n

Question: \u201cWe cannot definitively rule out a government shutdown at the end of this week?\u201d Mulvaney<\/a>: \u201cYou absolutely cannot.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, workers are still struggling to recover from the 35-day Trump Shutdown, and are worried about how they will pay their bills if Trump holds their paychecks hostage again.<\/p>\n
