Fox News<\/a>: \u201cEscalating Trump’s pursuit of wall funding, the White House in the new budget requested an additional $8.6 billion to build the wall along the U.S.-Mexico border\u2014seeking $5 billion from Congress, plus $3.6 billion from the military construction budget, for fiscal 2020.\u201d<\/p>\n Trump wants to cut $845 billion from Medicare, even though he has repeatedly promised to protect the program.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Washington Post<\/a>: \u201cTrump\u2019s \u2018Budget for a Better America\u2019 also includes dozens of spending cuts and policy overhauls that frame the early stages of the debate for the 2020 election. For example, Trump for the first time calls for cutting $845 billion from Medicare, the popular health care program for the elderly that in the past he had largely said he would protect.\u201d<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Trump wants to turn Medicaid into a block grant program, slash its funding and eliminate the ACA\u2019s expansion program.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Washington Post<\/a>: \u201cThe spending plan calls for a cut of nearly $1.5 trillion in Medicaid over 10 years and for $1.2 trillion to be added for a new \u2018Market Based Health Care Grant\u2019 \u2014 that is, the block grants that would start in 2021.
