Now, we\u2019ve learned that Trump\u2019s daughter and son-in-law\u2019s personal email use violated the law and put our national security at risk.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">Kushner violated the law by using an encrypted messaging app and personal email for official communications with foreign leaders, which his lawyer confirmed he continued to use as recently as December.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NPR\/status\/1108791715413012480\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/twitter.com\/NPR\/status\/1108791715413012480&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1553607486554000&amp;usg=AFQjCNEFGE2oKKZzMTFuqBV-Hti7dfWMaA\">NPR<\/a>: \u201cJared Kushner\u2019s attorney told the House Oversight Committee that Kushner uses private apps and personal email to communicate about official White House matters with foreign leaders \u2014 a violation of a law governing White House records and official policy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2019\/03\/21\/elijah-cummings-jared-kushner-encrypted-app-1230978\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2019\/03\/21\/elijah-cummings-jared-kushner-encrypted-app-1230978&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1553607486555000&amp;usg=AFQjCNGXaAm4Zypl5Wm_p1YRwyVBGkvdQQ\">Politico<\/a>: \u201cThe revelation came in a Dec. 19 meeting \u2014 made public by the House Oversight and Reform Committee for the first time on Thursday \u2014 between Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-Md.), Rep. Trey Gowdy, the former chairman of the oversight panel, and Kushner\u2019s lawyer, Abbe Lowell.
