New data shows that costs continue to increase and more Americans are uninsured because of his sabotage.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">New data shows out-of-pocket costs continue to rise for working families, outpacing rates of inflation and wage growth.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.healthsystemtracker.org\/brief\/tracking-the-rise-in-premium-contributions-and-cost-sharing-for-families-with-large-employer-coverage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.healthsystemtracker.org\/brief\/tracking-the-rise-in-premium-contributions-and-cost-sharing-for-families-with-large-employer-coverage\/&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1566327285263000&amp;usg=AFQjCNFAya0CBxldJeLXeGm39ajHI-IxDg\">Kaiser Family Foundation<\/a>: \u201cLooking only at the health spending for which workers are responsible (their families\u2019 premium contributions and cost-sharing payments), the average family spent $4,706 on premiums and $3,020 on cost-sharing, for a combined cost of $7,726 in 2018. This represents an 18% increase in the health costs borne by employees and their families from five years earlier ($6,571 in 2013), outpacing the 8% increase in inflation and a 12% increase in workers\u2019 wages over the same period.\u201d<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">More Americans are without health insurance, especially in GOP-led states that didn\u2019t expand Medicaid. In 2017, the uninsured rate increased for the first time in several years.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fiercehealthcare.com\/payer\/urban-institute-uninsured-rate-ticked-up-2017-largely-nonexpansion-states\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.fiercehealthcare.com\/payer\/urban-institute-uninsured-rate-ticked-up-2017-largely-nonexpansion-states&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1566327285263000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHn9Ix5PcqXeLR7GpVn1vzqU7x_ew\">Fierce Healthcare<\/a>: \u201cThe uninsured rate went up in 2017 after several years of declines, and the trend particularly affected people in states that did not expand Medicaid, a new study shows.
