Tim Scott is campaigning for president as an anti-abortion extremist. As he attempts to out-MAGA the rest of the GOP 2024 hopefuls, he\u2019s praised extreme legislation that bans abortion before many women even know they\u2019re pregnant, and he\u2019s made it clear that as president, he would sign the most restrictive national abortion ban possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tim Scott has repeatedly promised to sign the most restrictive national abortion ban possible if he were president, starting with a 15-week ban.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott<\/a>: \u201cIf I were president of the United States, I would literally sign the most conservative pro-life legislation that they can get through Congress.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott<\/a>: \u201cI\u2019ve cosponsored a 20-week bill. I\u2019ve signaled very clearly I\u2019d sign a 15-week bill.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott<\/a>: \u201cI am 100% pro-life. When I am president of the United States, I will sign the most pro-life legislation the House and Senate can put on my desk. We should begin with a 15-week national limit.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott<\/a> on whether he would sign Lindsey Graham\u2019s 15-week ban: \u201cEvery day, I would sign that bill into law. I would sign the most conservative pro-life legislation you can bring to my desk.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also said it was \u201cgood news\u201d when his home state of South Carolina passed an extreme bill that bans abortion before many women know they\u2019re pregnant and threatens doctors and nurses with jail time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott<\/a>: “The state is trying to protect the culture of life and that’s <\/strong>good news. I mean, the heartbeat bill is a step in the direction of that.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

His abortion extremism on the campaign trail is par for the course \u2014 as a senator, Tim Scott co-sponsored the Life at Conception Act and a national abortion ban that could have threatened doctors with jail time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
