As Kristi Noem becomes the latest MAGA extremist to endorse Donald Trump\u2019s 2024 presidential run, <\/em>DNC spokesperson Rhyan Lake released the following statement:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOf course Donald Trump\u2019s first campaign trip in weeks is to visit South Dakota, ground zero for Trump\u2019s anti-abortion agenda, where the governor thinks 10-year-old rape victims should be forced to give birth. Kristi Noem\u2019s endorsement is also no surprise as she has spent her days in Congress and the governorship as one of the most right-wing elected officials in the country, pushing the hallmarks of the MAGA agenda \u2014 including stripping away Americans\u2019 freedoms, supporting an effort to end Medicare as we know it, giving handouts to the ultra-wealthy, and making it easier for criminals to carry guns. Trump might not venture out to campaign much these days, but every time he does, he reminds Americans just how extreme he is \u2014 and today is no different.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noem has repeatedly praised Donald Trump, tied herself to his extreme MAGA agenda, and put herself forward as a contender to be his vice presidential nominee.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hill<\/a>: \u201cNoem says she would be Trump\u2019s running mate \u2018in a heartbeat\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201c\u2018Of course, I would consider it,\u2019 Noem told Fox News host Sean Hannity recently when asked if she would be Trump\u2019s vice president.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noem<\/a>: \u201cI think he\u2019d be fantastic. \u2026 Most people when they watched what he and his family went through would be exhausted and quit, out of discouragement. And the fact that he\u2019s still fighting is inspirational to me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noem<\/a>: \u201cI love that man because he did everything he said he was going to do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noem touted her role in crafting Trump\u2019s tax giveaways for the ultra-wealthy and big corporations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noem<\/a>: \u201cWhen I was in Congress, I had the tremendous honor of being on the conference committee that ironed out the final details of President Trump\u2019s tax cuts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noem is an anti-abortion extremist who said a 10-year-old rape victim should be forced to carry out her pregnancy under her state\u2019s all-out abortion ban, does not support exceptions for rape or incest, and has threatened to throw pharmacists in jail for providing or even procuring abortion pills.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Argus Leader<\/a>: \u201cPro-life advocates and Gov. Kristi Noem are lauding the South Dakota Legislature for further bolstering the state\u2019s already strict anti-abortion laws this legislative session, steps necessary for states to take if abortion will ever be completely illegal in the United States, they say. \u2026 Noem told the Argus Leader this week that she is an absolutist on the topic, not even compromising in the event of rape or incest.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Associated Press<\/a>: \u201cThe Republican governor and South Dakota Attorney General Marty Jackley released a letter to South Dakota pharmacists saying they are \u2018subject to felony prosecution\u2019 if they procure or dispense abortion-inducing drugs.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In Congress, Noem voted to end Medicare as we know it. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Noem repeatedly voted to repeal the Affordable Care Act while in Congress, which would have taken away health care from millions of Americans.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
