Republican presidential hopefuls are cheering for extreme MAGA Republicans in Congress to shut down the federal government \u2013 tanking the economy and undermining our national security over a laundry list of partisan proposals  \u2013 which would have devastating consequences for America\u2019s hardworking families. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump isn\u2019t even pretending like he\u2019s above using MAGA House Republicans\u2019 power to advance his own political agenda \u2013 even if it means shutting down the government. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

DeSantis, a House Freedom Caucus co-founder, told far-right extreme MAGA Republicans to \u201ckeep fighting\u201d even if their petty political games lead to a government shutdown. <\/strong>

Politico<\/a>: \u201cThe Florida governor spent about 30 minutes on the phone Wednesday with conservative Reps. Chip Roy of Texas, Thomas Massie of Kentucky and Bob Good of Virginia \u2014 leaders of the cadre that is pushing House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to embrace a shutdown if Democrats won\u2019t agree to hard-right policy demands. DeSantis\u2019 message, according to a person familiar with the call: \u2018I got your back. Keep fighting.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scott had no shame in admitting he\u2019d choose politics over avoiding a government shutdown. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Radio Iowa<\/a>: \u201cRepublican presidential candidate Tim Scott \u2014 who represents South Carolina in the U.S. Senate \u2014 says he\u2019s ready to draw a line in the sand on federal spending, even if it leads to a government shutdown. Scott voted against this spring\u2019s budget deal that set a two-year framework for government spending.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pence urged House conservatives to hold the line on their demands despite the looming threat of a government shutdown. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
