At her core, Senator Feinstein was a public servant and a force for good. Senator Feinstein\u2019s career in public service, forged in the crucible of tragedy, has left an indelible mark on the history of not only her beloved San Francisco, but also our nation as a whole. For more than fifty years, Senator Feinstein was a fearless fighter for good \u2013 whether it was leading the charge for an assault weapons ban or in defense of LGBTQ+ rights, we have been well served by Senator Feinstein\u2019s leadership.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs the first woman president of the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, Mayor of San Francisco, Senator from California, Chair of the Senate Intelligence and Rules Committees, and ranking member on the Senate Judiciary Committee, Senator Dianne Feinstein was an icon and hero for so many women who fought to see themselves represented at the heights of government. Her work will forever live on in the millions of women and girls she inspired throughout her career.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cOur deepest condolences go out to Senator Feinstein\u2019s family, friends, colleagues, and staff as they grieve this tremendous loss.
