In response to Ron DeSantis\u2019s foreign policy speech at the Heritage Foundation, DNC spokesperson Sarafina Chitika released the following statement:<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cRon DeSantis\u2019s foreign policy agenda would endanger the United States and undermine our allies \u2013 it\u2019s clear he\u2019s out of his depth. DeSantis cheered Senator Tuberville\u2019s monthslong military blockade that continues to undermine our national security and disrespect our military leaders and parroted Vladimir Putin\u2019s talking points on Ukraine. The U.S. needs strong, steady leadership, not DeSantis\u2019s extreme foreign policy agenda that would leave America and our allies vulnerable.\u201d <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Even as our ally Israel looks to the United States for support, DeSantis is cheering on Tuberville\u2019s monthslong military blockade that not only undermines the United States\u2019 military readiness, but hinders our capability to defend our allies. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Politico<\/a>: \u201cFlorida Gov. Ron DeSantis backed Sen. Tommy Tuberville\u2019s months-long blockade on military nominations on Thursday, saying that the Pentagon\u2019s abortion policy would \u2018go out the window\u2019 if he wins the presidency.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

DeSantis undermined our ally Ukraine by calling Putin\u2019s bloody war a \u201cterritorial dispute\u201d and a fight over the \u201cborderlands.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Post<\/a>: \u201cHis assertion, in a statement to Fox News anchor Tucker Carlson, that it is not in America\u2019s \u2018vital national interests\u2019 to become \u2018further entangled in a territorial dispute between Ukraine and Russia\u2019 was strongly criticized by numerous senior Republicans \u2014 including Sen. Lindsey Graham and Sen. Marco Rubio.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

DeSantis has no problem endangering our ally by opposing Ukraine\u2019s admission to NATO. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Newsweek<\/a>: \u201cRepublican 2024 presidential candidate Ron DeSantis voiced opposition to Ukraine joining the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) during an interview on Saturday with conservative commentator Glenn Beck.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

DeSantis campaigns on being tough on China, but in Congress he voted for legislation that would have prioritized payments to China over supporting veterans and seniors.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Money for other payments, such as those for veterans, Medicare and national security, would have to be divvied up from what remained of the scarce federal funds.
