In an interview with Fox News, Trump also declined to say whether he would consider allowing Russia to keep Ukrainian land as part of an agreement to end the war.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Ron DeSantis opposed U.S. support for Ukraine, saying that backing Ukraine was \u201cnot one\u201d of our country\u2019s \u201cvital national interests.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NPR<\/a>: \u201cDeSantis joined former President Donald Trump \u2014 another leading GOP contender \u2014 in opposing U.S. support for Ukraine. They outlined their positions in a survey of potential 2024 Republican candidates done by Fox News host Tucker Carlson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n “While the U.S. has many vital national interests \u2014 securing our borders, addressing the crisis of readiness within our military, achieving energy security and independence, and checking the economic, cultural, and military power of the Chinese Communist Party \u2014 becoming further entangled in a territorial dispute between Ukraine and Russia is not one of them,” DeSantis said.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n Vivek Ramaswamy says he would end U.S. support for Ukraine if he wins the presidency. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Ramaswamy<\/a>: \u201cWhat I think we need to do is end the Ukraine war on peaceful terms that, yes, do make some major concessions to Russia, including freezing those current lines of control in a Korean-war style armistice agreement.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n
