Republicans have entered a new stage in their primary \u2013 lighting millions of dollars on fire to attack each other, all the while reminding voters that every MAGA Republican candidate is in lockstep support of the same extreme, out-of-touch agenda the American people rejected in 2018, 2020, 2022, 2023, and will also reject next November, regardless of who emerges from this messy primary.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Nikki Haley has a yearslong record of attacking the Affordable Care Act and called to \u201cdefund\u201d it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1VJDbtILOOTspTZX8vdpJllFmGNcncgCL\/view\">Haley<\/a>: <strong>\u201cWe have fought Obamacare in South Carolina as much as we possibly could.<\/strong> We said no to the state exchanges. We said no to the Medicaid expansion. \u2026 They just turned and set every state back with this bill that we know did not work.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thestate.com\/news\/politics-government\/article14441192.html\">Haley<\/a>: <strong>\u201cWhen it came to Obamacare, we didn\u2019t just say \u2018no,\u2019 we said \u2018never.\u2019 \u2026 And we\u2019re going to keep on fighting until we get people like [Senator Tim Scott] and everybody else in Congress to defund Obamacare.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/4178700\/nikki-haley-republican-response-state-of-the-union-transcript\/\">Haley<\/a>: <strong>\u201cWe would end a disastrous health care program<\/strong>, and replace it with reforms that lowered costs and actually let you keep your doctor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.live5news.com\/story\/23383315\/gov-haley-speaks-against-affordable-care-act-sc-prepares-for-key-deadline\/\">Live News 5<\/a>: \u201cGov. Haley speaks against Affordable Care Act, SC prepares for key deadline\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Americans for Prosperity was a proponent of blocking the passage of the Affordable Care Act and has since relentlessly attacked and pushed for the repeal of this landmark legislation for over a decade.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/news\/fact-checker\/wp\/2014\/04\/24\/four-new-americans-for-prosperity-ads-take-on-obamacare\/\">Washington Post<\/a>: \u201cAmericans for Prosperity, the limited-government group that has spent $35 million attacking Democrats over the Affordable Care Act, released four ads on Tuesday\u2014in New Hampshire, Louisiana, Colorado and Michigan.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe most dubious claim in the ad is a headline, quoting a Forbes magazine blog, saying \u2018Health Care Premiums up 90% in New Hampshire.\u2019 But that factoid has been debunked, both by news outlets in New Hampshire and in extensive detail by our colleagues at FactCheck.org. In essence, the number comes from a single anonymous insurance broker who participated in a survey by Morgan Stanley. By contrast, the New Hampshire Department of Insurance says it anticipated an 8-percent decrease in premiums after subsidies.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2021\/03\/09\/koch-network-tries-to-counter-biden-public-option-obamacare.html\">CNBC<\/a>: \u201cThe political advocacy group backed by billionaire Charles Koch is pushing forward with its own health-care agenda as President Joe Biden\u2019s administration looks to build on the Affordable Care Act.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/blogs\/burns-haberman\/2012\/06\/americans-for-prosperity-launching-9-million-ad-campaign-on-obamacare-ruling-127556\">Politico<\/a>: \u201cThe conservative outside-spending behemoth Americans for Prosperity will launch a $9 million ad campaign targeting the Affordable Care Act in the wake of the Supreme Court\u2019s decision upholding the law, AFP president Tim Phillips tells me.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/americansforprosperity.org\/five-reasons-not-to-expand-obamacare\/\">Americans for Prosperity<\/a>: \u201cInstead of doubling down on the ACA\u2019s glaring inefficiencies and shocking inequities, we should enact real health reforms that bring down costs through markets, not mandates.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Haley is pursuing a MAGAnomics agenda of cutting Social Security and Medicare and blocked Medicaid expansion as governor of South Carolina.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1Jgfxz7l52ea-DHXPgS9-2T3N6mGM6ich\/view\">Andrew Ross Sorkin<\/a>: \u201cAre you on board with cutting entitlements in a big and meaningful way?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Haley: \u201cSocial security goes bankrupt in 10 years, Medicare goes bankrupt in eight. <strong>Anyone that says they&#8217;re not going to take on entitlement reform means they&#8217;re going to go in and be president and leave the country bankrupt.<\/strong> You can&#8217;t do that.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/haley-social-security-medicare-president-2024-0b6ea12f7ee8c650ce2de4bf2df5a787\">Associated Press<\/a>: <strong>\u201cRepublican presidential candidate Nikki Haley is proposing changes to entitlement programs for younger generations, opening the door to potential cuts to Social Security and Medicare if elected.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2023\/02\/09\/trump-desantis-biden-social-security-medicare\/\">Washington Post<\/a>: \u201cNikki Haley, the former South Carolina governor and U. N. ambassador who is planning to announce her own presidential bid this month, also praised Ryan\u2019s Medicare proposal at the time and said lawmakers should examine Medicare and Social Security spending to address federal debt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201c\u2018What they need to be doing is looking at entitlements,\u2019 Haley said in a 2010 interview on Fox News. \u2018Look at Social Security. Look at Medicaid. Look at Medicare. Look at these things, and let\u2019s actually go to the heart of what is causing government to grow, and tackle that.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DNCWarRoom\/status\/1695084769321595388?s=20\">Haley<\/a>: \u201cAny candidate that says they\u2019re not going to touch entitlements, means that they\u2019re basically going to go into office and leave America bankrupt. \u2026 We change retirement age to reflect life expectancy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.semafor.com\/newsletter\/02\/09\/2023\/do-2024-republicans-have-a-tea-party-problem\">Semafor<\/a>: \u201cAs governor of South Carolina at the time, Nikki Haley praised the [Paul Ryan] fiscal blueprint for \u2018trying to bring common sense to this world of insanity.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/meet-the-press\/meetthepressblog\/nikki-haley-stands-key-issues-rcna70838\">NBC News<\/a>: <strong>\u201cHaley opposed efforts to expand Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act<\/strong> (South Carolina remains just one of 11 states that hasn\u2019t expanded Medicaid to allow more Americans to have health insurance).\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/blogs\/politics\/2013\/03\/live-updates-mitt-romney-paul-ryan-donald-trump-to-speak-at-second-day-of-cpac-2013\">ABC News<\/a>: \u201cIn her introduction of former presidential candidate Mitt Romney at the 2013 Conservative Political Action Conference, South Carolina Governor <strong>Nikki Haley vowed to oppose President Obama\u2019s recommendations to expand Medicaid in her state.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1BXkZvFiiVtEBYfafH29n_ax8VapZVM8w\/view\">Haley<\/a>: \u2018They\u2019re trying to throw Obamacare and tell us that we have to bust our budgets and expand Medicaid. \u2026 Not in South Carolina. <strong>As long as I am the governor of South Carolina, we will not expand Medicaid<\/strong> on President Obama\u2019s watch. <strong>We will not expand Medicaid ever.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Like Nikki Haley, this extreme MAGA group is also hellbent on ending Social Security and Medicare as we know them.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/americansforprosperity.org\/why-social-security-is-in-trouble\/\">Americans for Prosperity<\/a>: \u201cIs Social Security in Trouble? working families as governor of South Carolina and now is proposing to go even further by making permanent Trump\u2019s MAGAnomics tax giveaways for the ultra-wealthy and big corporations.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/video\/2023\/06\/12\/presidential-candidate-nikki-haley-energy-independence-is-key-to-national-security.html\">Haley<\/a>: <strong>\u201cWell I think what I\u2019d like to see is us go back to what Trump had under the tax cuts under him \u2026 I was there.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a $218.3 million annually when the phase-out is complete.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Americans for Prosperity played a key role in the passage of Trump\u2019s MAGAnomics tax giveaways for the ultra-wealthy, spent millions trying to drum up support for the tax scam, and now wants to make permanent those tax breaks.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/americansforprosperity.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/AFP-PRNT-18-1096-APR_TRUTHFACT-v1.pdf\">Americans For Prosperity<\/a>: \u201cCongress should act to protect the benefits of the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act \u2026 making permanent all tax cuts that are due to expire in 2025 and removing unnecessary barriers to opportunity.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2023\/06\/12\/koch-network-ads-target-trump-biden.html\">CNBC<\/a>: \u201cKoch, who\u2019s worth more than $60 billion, and his network notched several wins while Trump
