Every single Republican 2024 presidential candidate is running on an extreme and deeply unpopular MAGA agenda. Instead of working to solve the issues that the American people care about, they\u2019re locked in an all-out race to the bottom, competing to be the most extreme on every issue from ripping away health coverage and raising health care costs to banning abortion, rigging the economy for the ultra-rich, and gutting Social Security and Medicare. TLDR: they\u2019re all running the Trump playbook, and they\u2019ll all lose. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The GOP\u2019s latest MAGA fixation has been stripping away health coverage from the American people by repealing the Affordable Care Act \u2013 a move that would devastate the millions of Americans who rely on it. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n

Jon Favreau<\/a>: \u201cIf Trump wins, 40 million people could lose their health care, and insurance companies would get to deny coverage to people with pre-existing conditions. If Biden wins, that\u2026won\u2019t happen.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axios<\/a>: \u201cThe ACA’s protections for people with pre-existing conditions have proved especially popular, with 79% of Americans \u2014 including 66% of Republicans \u2014 saying in 2020 that they did not want the Supreme Court to overturn those protections.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NPR\/PBS NewsHour\/Marist Poll<\/a>: \u201cThirteen years after the Affordable Care Act was signed into law, more than eight in ten Americans (83%) either agree or strongly agree that all Americans have a basic right to healthcare coverage.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bryan Bennett, Navigator Research<\/a>: \u201cPer our October @NavigatorSurvey research, repealing the ACA (and January 6) remain the top concerns about Trump\u2019s first term as president\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washington Post<\/a>: \u201cBut what\u2019s clear is that an effort to \u2018terminate\u2019 Obamacare is not something Americans are pining for. Not only were the GOP\u2019s efforts to repeal and replace Obamacare during Trump\u2019s term historically unpopular, but the law also appears to have gotten more popular since then. \u2026 And when politicians talk of ending health insurance for tens of millions of Americans, dropping coverage of preexisting conditions and cutting Obamacare\u2019s Medicaid funding, things get even dicier.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The GOP has made support for banning abortion a litmus test. Despite clear opposition from a majority of voters, every Republican 2024 presidential candidate is running on an anti-choice agenda.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

USA Today<\/a>: \u201cAmericans overwhelmingly oppose the next goal of many anti-abortion activists, to enact a federal law banning abortion nationwide. By 80%-14%, those surveyed opposed that idea, including 65% of Republicans and 83% of independents.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axios<\/a>: \u201cMost Americans support abortion access one year after Roe v. Wade: poll\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cA 64% majority of US adults say they disapprove of last year\u2019s Supreme Court ruling that women do not have a constitutional right to an abortion, with half strongly disapproving \u2013 an assessment that\u2019s almost entirely unchanged from CNN\u2019s poll last July in the immediate wake of the decision.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Every Republican presidential hopeful is pushing a MAGAnomics agenda of giving tax breaks to the wealthy while gutting crucial social programs for hardworking Americans \u2013 which polling shows is deeply unpopular with Americans. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fox News<\/a>: \u201cFox News Poll: 71% choose funding Social Security, Medicare over budget cuts\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pew Research Center<\/a>: \u201cAbout six-in-ten adults now say that the feeling that some corporations don\u2019t pay their fair share (61%) bothers them a lot, while a nearly identical share say this about some wealthy people not paying their fair share (60%), according to a Pew Research Center survey of 5,079 U.S. adults conducted from March 27 to April 2, 2023.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

AP<\/a>: \u201cMost oppose Social Security, Medicare cuts: AP-NORC poll\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axios<\/a>: \u201cNearly 9 in 10 Americans say they oppose reducing spending on Social Security or Medicare, according to new polling from our Axios-Ipsos Two Americas Index.\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Despite overwhelming bipartisan support for commonsense gun safety laws, the Republican 2024 field has made it clear that they won\u2019t put the safety of our children and our communities ahead of the gun lobby.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fox News<\/a>: \u201cFox News Poll: Voters favor gun limits over arming citizens to reduce gun violence\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Morning Consult<\/a>: \u201cVoters Maintain Strong, Bipartisan Support for Banning Assault Weapons After Lewiston\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Hill<\/a>: \u201cMost Americans say they would support stricter gun control laws: poll\u201d<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Instead of addressing the real issues the American people care about, the GOP is focused on petty culture wars, including book bans and forcing their MAGA agenda into the classroom over the objections of parents and voters.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
