In response to record-breaking Affordable Care Act enrollment numbers, <\/em>DNC National Press Secretary Sarafina Chitika released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cToday, thanks to President Biden\u2019s leadership, a record 19 million Americans are signing up for coverage under the Affordable Care Act. While 2024 Republicans continue to double down on their promise to rip away health care and overturn former President Obama\u2019s signature achievement, President Biden and Democrats are committed to ensuring families can afford the care they need across the country. Next year, the choice in this election will be on full display between the extreme GOP, who are hellbent on taking away health care and kicking millions of young people off their parents\u2019 insurance, and President Biden, who is delivering on his promise to make health care coverage affordable and accessible for hardworking American families.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under President Biden\u2019s leadership, a record number of Americans are enrolling in health care coverage through the Affordable Care Act marketplaces \u2014 shattering records to the tune of over <\/strong>7 million <\/em><\/strong>people<\/strong> <\/em><\/strong>since he took office. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Statement from President Biden<\/a>: \u201cWith nearly a month left in open enrollment, more than 19 million people have signed up for coverage, breaking all previous records.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Trump and the entire 2024 Republican field continue to rail against the ACA \u2014 advocating to rip away health care from millions of Americans.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Messenger<\/a>: \u201cFormer President Donald Trump<\/strong> said he is \u2018seriously looking at alternatives\u2019 to Obamacare in a new post on his social media platform Truth Social. He also called it a \u2018low point for the Republican Party\u2019 that lawmakers failed to \u2018terminate\u2019 the health insurance program established by the Affordable Care Act. According to the latest figures this year, more than 40 million Americans rely on the program for those who can’t afford private plans.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nikki Haley has her own shameful record of wanting to get rid of the Affordable Care Act. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jack Heath<\/a>: \u201cThey’re going ahead and saying you would repeal the Affordable Care Act, would you?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haley<\/strong>: \u201cIt’s not about one small policy of, you know, Affordable Care Act. It’s about fixing the entire health care system.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ron DeSantis has threatened to \u201cdo a lot more\u201d than just repeal the Affordable Care Act. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Justin Dougherty, Fox Carolina<\/a>: \u201cThe conversation about the Affordable Care Act \u2014 repealing and replacing it \u2014 has come up once again. Republicans failed to repeal it or replace it in 2017. Vivek Ramaswamy called the Affordable Care Act a \u201cdisaster\u201d despite all it\u2019s done to provide affordable coverage for millions of Americans. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chris Christie continues to rail against the Affordable Care Act and has even called Donald Trump out for being unable to repeal it. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christie<\/strong><\/a>: \u201cIt’s about delivering on issues that voters care about. So the fact is that they care deeply about Obamacare. And Donald Trump promised them he’d repeal and replace it. He had a Republican Congress. He didn’t do it.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MAGA Mike Johnson has pushed to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which would rip away coverage from millions, and also voted against the historic Inflation Reduction Act, which is lowering health care costs and prescription drug prices for millions of Americans. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Millions of Americans with preexisting conditions could lose critical protections if MAGA Republicans get their way and repeal the ACA \u2014 opening the door for insurance companies to deny them coverage or charge more.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
