Donald Trump said it himself: Without him, none of the extreme abortion bans being pushed by MAGA Republicans across the country would be possible. Now, ahead of what should be the 51st anniversary of Roe v. Wade<\/em>, we\u2019re ready to remind voters of the severe consequences of Trump\u2019s anti-choice extremism and what is at stake for women across America in this election, state by state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As MAGA Republicans in Nikki Haley\u2019s home state of South Carolina and across the country continue to rip away women\u2019s freedoms as a result of Donald Trump\u2019s actions to overturn Roe v. Wade, <\/em>DNC National Press Secretary Sarafina Chitika released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNikki Haley made it clear that if she were still governor of South Carolina, she would have signed Republicans\u2019 cruel and extreme ban on abortion before many women even know they\u2019re pregnant \u2013 a ban that\u2019s only possible because of Donald Trump. But even before Trump\u2019s hand-picked judges overturned Roe v. Wade<\/em> and ended basic protections for millions of American women, Haley spent years as governor pushing an extreme anti-abortion agenda in South Carolina, including signing an abortion ban with no exceptions for rape and incest that she now touts on the campaign trail. With both Haley and Trump now trying to-out MAGA each other by pledging their support for a national abortion ban, each of them are showing voters that whoever emerges from this primary will be running on an anti-freedom agenda that could bring South Carolina\u2019s extreme ban to the whole country.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

When she was governor of South Carolina, Haley pursued an extreme anti-abortion agenda, including signing an abortion ban with no exceptions for rape and incest that threatened doctors with jail time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
