In response to the Republican Study Committee pushing a blueprint to <\/em>threaten health care protections for 100 million Americans<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>gut Social Security and Medicare<\/em><\/a>, and <\/em>threaten IVF<\/em><\/a> and ban <\/em>medication abortion<\/em><\/a>, <\/em>DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump and MAGA Republicans in Congress are campaigning on an agenda that is so toxic with voters you\u2019d think they were trying to lose the election. The American people want more accessible health care, more freedoms, and greater retirement security \u2013 but Donald Trump and his MAGA Minions are running to take all of that away. The new MAGA budget blueprint would rip away health care protections from more than 100 million Americans with preexisting conditions, gut Social Security and Medicare for our seniors, and threaten access to IVF for Americans trying to start or grow their family. Americans keep rejecting this extreme, out-of-touch platform at the ballot box, and they\u2019ll do it again this November.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Republican Study Committe\u2019s budget proposes raising the retirement age and slashing Social Security and Medicare \u2013 which comes after Donald Trump said JUST LAST WEEK \u201cthere is a lot you can do\u201d to gut both programs that millions of American families rely on.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bloomberg<\/a>: \u201cRepublicans Call for Retirement Age Hike in Clash With Biden\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe largest caucus of House Republicans called for an increase in the Social Security retirement age Wednesday, setting up a clash with President Joe Biden over spending on popular entitlement programs.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Republican Study Committee, which comprises about 80% of House Republicans<\/strong>, called for the Social Security eligibility age to be tied to life expectancy in its fiscal 2025 budget proposal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
