Trump brags about \u2018killing\u2019 <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>, and in the aftermath, MAGA Republicans have introduced legislation across the country to rip away women\u2019s access to essential care \u2014 threatening their health and safety, and in some cases, even their lives. Trump wants the credit for this dystopian nightmare \u2014 so we\u2019ll give it to him. He and his MAGA allies aren\u2019t stopping with banning abortion; they\u2019re coming for medication abortion and contraception, and treating women who seek care like criminals and creating registries to track their medical histories. Louisiana is just the staging ground for Trump\u2019s war against our freedom \u2014 MAGA extremists will keep tearing away at our rights across the country. There\u2019s only one ticket fighting for every woman in America to have access to the reproductive health care they deserve, and that\u2019s President Biden and Vice President Harris. The fate of reproductive freedom is on the ballot this November, and the American people will once again reject Trump and MAGA extremists\u2019 anti-freedom agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Here\u2019s a look at how S.B. 276 rips away Lousianans\u2019 freedoms: <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This legislation criminalizes possession of two medications used for miscarriages, to induce labor, and for various other medical purposes to protect women\u2019s health.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>This legislation will also allow the state to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationaljournal.com\/s\/725107\/how-regulating-abortion-drugs-like-opioids-will-impact-docs-patients\/?unlock=EVRQ45SU2LIULKCX\">create a registry<\/a> of every patient who is prescribed one of these medications.<br><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>S.B. 276 could make it harder for patients to receive the care they need and put women in danger.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>ICYMI: Anti-abortion extremists are moving to criminalize possession of mifepristone and misoprostol, safe and effective medication abortion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Breaking news: Louisiana Republicans <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BidenHQ\/status\/1793726619732889822\">just<\/a> sent a bill to the governor&#8217;s desk that classifies abortion pills as \u201cdangerous controlled substances,\u201d<strong> made possible by Trump ending Roe v. Wade. The Republican governor is expected to sign it into law.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/nation\/2024\/05\/21\/louisiana-legislature-abortion-mifepristone-misoprostol\/\">Washington Pos<\/a>t: \u201cLouisiana would become the first state in the country to include mifepristone and misoprostol in the same category as opioids, depressants and other drugs that can be highly addictive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe bill includes the threat of incarceration and fines for an individual possessing the pills without a valid prescription or outside of professional practice.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Trump has never stopped bragging about overturning <\/strong><strong><em>Roe v. Wade<\/em><\/strong><strong>.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BidenHQ\/status\/1745277154236260693\">Trump<\/a>: <strong>\u201cFor 54 years they were trying to get <\/strong><strong><em>Roe v. Wade<\/em><\/strong><strong> terminated, and I did it, and I\u2019m proud to have done it. \u2026 Nobody else was going to get that done but me<\/strong>, and we did it, and we did something that was a miracle.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/truthsocial.com\/@realDonaldTrump\/110384051064378318\">Trump<\/a>: \u201cAfter 50 years of failure, with nobody coming even close, <strong>I was able to kill <\/strong><strong><em>Roe v. Wade<\/em><\/strong>, much to the \u2018shock\u2019 of everyone \u2026 <strong>Without me there would be no 6 weeks, 10 weeks, 15 weeks, or whatever is finally agreed to.<\/strong> Without me the pro Life movement would have just kept losing. Wade<\/em> being overturned.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.fwiw.news\/p\/trump-runs-anti-abortion-ads-on-facebook\">FWIW<\/a>: <strong>\u201cThis week, we found more evidence that the Trump campaign has no interest in \u2018moderating\u2019 on the issue of abortion. On Monday, his team began running new Facebook video ads targeting voters in Iowa, referring to Trump as \u2018THE MOST Pro-Life President in history.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsmax.com\/newsmax-tv\/abortion-unborn-roe-v-wade\/2023\/05\/16\/id\/1120077\/\">Trump<\/a>: <strong>\u201cI&#8217;m the one that got rid of <\/strong><strong><em>Roe v. Wade<\/em><\/strong>, and everybody said that was an impossible thing to do. I put on three Supreme Court justices. Very few people have had that privilege or honor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DNCWarRoom\/status\/1656474276063592448?s=20\">Trump<\/a>: <strong>\u201cGetting rid of <\/strong><strong><em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>, to negotiate with. \u2026 And look, everybody that was president wanted to get rid and tried to get rid of <em>Roe v. Wade.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/joe-biden\/biden-administration-announces-new-abortion-initiatives-roe-anniversar-rcna134954%5C\">NBC News<\/a>: \u201cBiden administration announces new abortion initiatives on Roe anniversary\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/health\/2024\/04\/22\/abortion-medical-records-patients-biden-hipaa\/\">Washington Post<\/a>: \u201cBiden administration moves to shield patients\u2019 abortion records from GOP threats\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Trump and anti-abortion extremists won\u2019t stop with banning abortion \u2014 they are coming for every aspect of women\u2019s reproductive health care.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/politics\/politics-features\/maga-plan-attack-birth-control-surveil-women-ban-abortion-pill-1234934807\/\">Rolling Stone<\/a>: \u201cInside the MAGA Plan to Attack Birth Control, Surveil Women and Ban the Abortion Pill\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThe attacks on mifepristone and resurrection of Comstock stand out as particularly harmful proposals, but they are only two of the dozens of ways <strong>the Republicans behind Project 2025 envision restricting access to abortion and contraception if they win the White House next year.<\/strong> Elsewhere in the document,<strong> there are proposals to eliminate the morning-after pill from the Affordable Care Act\u2019s contraceptive mandate under the rationale that it is a \u2018potential abortifacient.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BidenHQ\/status\/1792925742885372172\">Interviewer<\/a>: \u201cDo you support any restrictions on a person\u2019s right to contraception?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump: \u201cWe\u2019re looking at that, and I\u2019m going to have a policy on that very shortly and I think it\u2019s something that you\u2019ll find interesting.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BidenHQ\/status\/1792928127133352316\">Interviewer<\/a>: \u201cThat suggests that you may want to support some restrictions?
