On the heels of Trump\u2019s disastrous appearance at the NABJ in Chicago, Trump will head to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania later today and attempt to rile up his crowd with his usual stump \u2013 lies, complaints, excuses, and just plain weirdness. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

A reminder:<\/strong> Trump says he\u2019s a boon for the Pennsylvania economy, but that\u2019s just not true. Trump\u2019s economic record in Pennsylvania was dismal: He presided over the loss of over 275,000 jobs, including over 23,000 manufacturing jobs, and sent the unemployment rate skyrocketing. Worse, if Trump gets a second term, he\u2019ll implement his dangerous agenda, Project 2025<\/a>, send prices soaring for Pennsylvanians, offshore American jobs, and give huge tax breaks to Trump\u2019s billionaire friends and donors at the expense of working families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In contrast:<\/strong> As Vice President, Kamala Harris has overseen the creation of 528,000<\/a> new jobs in Pennsylvania and has helped lower the cost of vital health care, prescription drugs, and home energy, saving working families thousands. Vice President Harris\u2019 vision for the nation\u2019s future is bright, and it\u2019s a future that benefits the middle class, not Trump\u2019s wealthy billionaire friends. Pennsylvania voters know this, and they\u2019ll vote like it in November. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

DNC Spokesperson Addy Toevs released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump already oversaw the loss of Pennsylvania jobs and hurt working families when he was president \u2013 losing 275,000 jobs in Pennsylvania alone. If Trump is reelected, he will betray working families once again. Trump\u2019s extreme Project 2025 playbook would force a typical middle-class family to pay an additional $2,500 a year, raising prices and taxes on working American families. The Biden-Harris administration has made massive progress with their pro-working family agenda, and Vice President Harris\u2019 vision for the nation will build on that progress, delivering for working families. The Democrats have delivered historic infrastructure investments and generated good-paying jobs, all while fighting to bring down costs.
