In response to JD Vance suggesting that repealing the Affordable Care Act would \u201c<\/em>be a priority<\/em><\/a>\u201d for the Trump-Vance ticket, <\/em>DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJD Vance is saying it out loud for all of America to hear: The Trump-Vance ticket is hellbent on pushing an extreme Project 2025 agenda to rip away health care access from millions of Americans. Vance confirmed that repealing the Affordable Care Act would be a priority for a Trump second term, after Trump already tried and failed in his repeated efforts to \u2018terminate<\/a>\u2019 and \u2018totally kill<\/a>\u2019 the ACA and its protections for millions of Americans with preexisting conditions the last time he was in office. When he was in office, Trump came up just one vote short in Congress from achieving his goal of repealing the Affordable Care Act.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

If the Trump-Vance ticket gets its way, over 100 million Americans with preexisting conditions could lose critical protections \u2014 opening the door for insurance companies to deny them coverage.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
