After Project 2025 author Kevin Roberts delayed the release of his book until after the election,<\/em> DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn the latest display that Donald Trump\u2019s MAGA movement is in full control of Project 2025, the far-right architect of this extreme agenda is now desperately trying to hide his book (and its \u2018violent\u2019<\/a> foreword written by JD Vance) until after the election. Vance\u2019s deranged foreword already spewed dangerous rhetoric that called for MAGA extremists to \u2018circle the wagons and load the muskets\u2019 while praising Roberts\u2019 extreme ideas as an \u2018essential weapon.\u2019 If that kind of violent language was in the foreword, we can\u2019t even imagine how bad the rest of this Vance-backed propaganda is \u2013 but Project 2025\u2019s radical anti-democracy plans give us a pretty good idea.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NEW: The Project 2025 architect has now delayed the release of his new book \u2013 which JD Vance wrote a <\/strong>\u201cviolent\u201d<\/strong><\/a> foreword for \u2013 until after the election.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

RealClearPolitics<\/a>: \u201c<\/strong>Kevin Roberts, president of the conservative Heritage Foundation, will delay publication of his forthcoming book in the wake of a media firestorm sparked by Democratic criticism of the Heritage-led initiative Project 2025, RealClearPolitics is first to report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNotably, Ohio Sen. J.D. Vance, a friend of Roberts and the Republican nominee for vice president, wrote the foreword of that book entitled \u2018Dawn\u2019s Early Light.\u2019<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

EXPOSED: JD Vance wrote the book foreword for extreme Project 2025 leader Kevin Roberts, praising his \u201cbold new vision for the future of conservatism in America\u201d and calling for a revolution.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Republic<\/a>: \u201cVance has deep ties to the Heritage Foundation, and in particular to Kevin Roberts, who has been president of the right-wing think tank since 2021 and is the architect of Project 2025. Vance has praised Roberts for helping to turn the organization \u2018into the de facto institutional home of Trumpism\u2019 and has endorsed elements of Project 2025. <\/strong>Vance is also the author of the foreword to Roberts\u2019s upcoming book.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut the inspiration for that extreme language can be found in Vance\u2019s foreword, which ends with a call for followers to \u2018circle the wagons and load the muskets,\u2019 and describes Roberts\u2019s ideas as an \u2018essential weapon\u2019 in the \u2018fights that lay ahead.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cVance\u2019s foreword is also, notably, a call for revolution.<\/strong> \u2018The old conservative movement argued if you just got government out of the way, natural forces would resolve problems,\u2019 he writes. \u2018We are no longer in this situation and must take a different approach.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New Republic<\/a>: \u201cWhen the book first became available for pre-order on June 19, Vance promoted it on X, writing, \u2018I was thrilled to write the foreword for this incredible book, which contains a bold new vision for the future of conservatism in America.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gram Slattery, Reuters<\/a>: \u201cVance is very close to Heritage and even wrote the [foreword] for a book from the think tank\u2019s president. Project 2025 is of course organized by Heritage.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vox<\/a>: \u201cKevin Roberts, the president of the right-wing Heritage Foundation and the driving force behind Project 2025, told Ward that \u2018[Vance] is absolutely going to be one of the leaders \u2014 if not the leader \u2014 of our movement.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cKevin Roberts, the president of the Heritage Foundation, is talking up revolution and the prospect of \u2018bloodshed\u2019 in the wake of the Supreme Court\u2019s decision placing the president outside the reach of criminal law.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cLater in the broadcast, Roberts predicted that his \u2018second revolution\u2019 would be complete by 2050, and that it would coincide with a new \u2018great awakening\u2019 that would bring America to God \u2014 underscoring the extent to which Heritage and its Project 2025 is entwined with Christian nationalism. Roberts insisted that \u2018God\u2019s law can, in fact, be a huge influence on the civil laws.\u2019 And he offered a constrained vision of American liberty: \u2018Our definition of \u2018freedom\u2019 is not the freedom to do whatever the heck we want, but the freedom to do what we ought.\u2019\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

With Vance joining Trump\u2019s MAGA ticket, it\u2019s even clearer that Project 2025 is \u201cundeniably a Trump-driven operation.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axios<\/a>: \u201cThis is undeniably a Trump-driven operation.<\/strong> The biggest tell: Johnny McEntee \u2014 one of Trump\u2019s closest White House aides, and his most fervent internal loyalty enforcer \u2014 is a senior adviser to Project 2025. One of the most powerful architects is Stephen Miller, a top West Wing adviser for the Trump administration.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Politico<\/a>: \u201cMany of the authors of the blueprint are former Trump officials, and the Heritage Foundation has spent the past year-plus recruiting people to implement the plans within the administration<\/strong>, Scott said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018So they don\u2019t just have a long, sprawling policy document,\u2019 he said, \u2018they also have a growing list of staff who are being tested to see if they are loyal to Trump and if they are willing to administer this in his potential administration.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhile groups like Heritage have put forward conservative policy proposals in the past, Scott said Project 2025 is distinct in that it\u2019s so comprehensive and far-reaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018It has so many groups contributing to it. It\u2019s the whole conservative policy movement gathered together,\u2019<\/strong> he said.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Week<\/a>: \u201cMany of Trump\u2019s indicated plans for a second term fall in line with the Project 2025 outline.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Times<\/a>: \u201cRoberts told me that he views Heritage\u2019s role today as \u2018institutionalizing Trumpism.\u2019 <\/strong>This includes leading Project 2025, a transition blueprint that outlines a plan to consolidate power in the executive branch, dismantle federal agencies and recruit and vet government employees to free the next Republican president from a system that Roberts views as stacked against conservative power. The lesson of Trump\u2019s first year in office, Roberts told me, is that \u2018the Trump administration \u2026 simply got a slow start. And Heritage and our allies in Project 2025 believe that must never be repeated.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more the American people learn about Trump\u2019s Project 2025 agenda, the more they dislike it. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigator Research<\/a>: \u201cAmericans oppose all the key elements in Project 2025, with the greatest concerns around health care, worker\u2019s rights, and dismantling federal programs. <\/strong>Over four in five Americans oppose an array of policies proposed in Project 2025 such as \u2018allowing employers to stop paying hourly workers overtime\u2019 \u2026 Additionally, four in five oppose \u2018allowing the government to monitor people\u2019s pregnancies to potentially prosecute them if they miscarry.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAmericans\u2019 overall opposition to Project 2025 increases after reading about its specific policy goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
