Trump and Project 2025 poster boy JD Vance continue to be haunted by their own words and their own agenda, and&nbsp;Americans are ready to shred this 900+ page playbook at the ballot box in November by electing Vice President Harris and Governor Walz.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NEW: While trying to distance himself from Project 2025, Donald Trump praised the MAGA blueprint as having proposals \u201cthat everybody would like.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/KamalaHQ\/status\/1831023387512111424\">Trump<\/a>: <strong>\u201cThere are some things in there that everybody would like.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>REALITY CHECK: Trump\u2019s Project 2025 agenda is extreme and unpopular \u2013 Americans are ready to reject this dangerous and out-of-touch MAGA playbook in November.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/navigatorresearch.org\/project-2025-has-become-significantly-more-unfavorable-since-trump-attempted-to-distance-himself-from-the-plan\/\">Navigator Research<\/a>:<strong> \u201cProject 2025 Has Become Significantly More Unfavorable Since Trump Attempted to Distance Himself From the Plan\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cProject 2025 has seen a significant increase in both awareness and unfavorability since our last survey in June. <strong>54 percent of Americans report being familiar with Project 2025 \u2026 Among those familiar with the Project 2025, just 11 percent view it favorably, while 43 percent view it unfavorably.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cWhen people are asked what negative news they have heard recently concerning Donald Trump, mentions of Project 2025 have dramatically increased. \u2026 <strong>A plurality of Americans believe Project 2025 accurately represents what Trump stands for.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/navigatorresearch.org\/the-policies-of-project-2025-a-guide-for-progressives\/\">Navigator Research<\/a>: <strong>\u201cAmericans oppose all the key elements in Project 2025, with the greatest concerns around health care, worker\u2019s rights, and dismantling federal programs. <\/strong>Over four in five Americans oppose an array of policies proposed in Project 2025 such as \u2018allowing employers to stop paying hourly workers overtime\u2019 \u2026 Additionally, four in five oppose \u2018allowing the government to monitor people\u2019s pregnancies to potentially prosecute them if they miscarry.\u2019<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAmericans\u2019 overall opposition to Project 2025 increases after reading about its specific policy goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThree in five Americans say Project 2025 would benefit the wealthiest Americans, CEOs, and corporations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/news\/nation-world\/national\/article289916579.html?taid=6694123f4a5d5e00011f182c&amp;utm_campaign=trueanthem&amp;utm_medium=social&amp;utm_source=twitter\">Miami Herald<\/a>: <strong>\u201cAs Americans learn more about Project 2025, they become more opposed, poll finds\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>FACT: Trump and his campaign are closely aligned with Project 2025 \u2013 it is \u201cundeniably a Trump-driven operation.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2023\/11\/13\/trump-loyalists-2024-presidential-election\">Axios<\/a>: <strong>\u201cThis is undeniably a Trump-driven operation.<\/strong> The biggest tell: Johnny McEntee \u2014 one of Trump&#8217;s closest White House aides, and his most fervent internal loyalty enforcer \u2014 is a senior adviser to Project 2025. One of the most powerful architects is Stephen Miller, a top West Wing adviser for the Trump administration.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/07\/11\/politics\/trump-allies-project-2025\/index.html\">CNN<\/a>: \u201cTrump claims not to know who is behind Project 2025. A CNN review found<strong> at least 140 people who worked for him are involved\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/newsletters\/power-switch\/2024\/04\/15\/a-deep-dive-into-energy-plans-for-trump-2-0-00152281\">Politico<\/a>: <strong>\u201cMany of the authors of the blueprint are former Trump officials, and the Heritage Foundation has spent the past year-plus recruiting people to implement the plans within the administration<\/strong>, Scott said.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/theweek.com\/politics\/heritage-foundation-2025-donald-trump\">The Week<\/a>: <strong>\u201cMany of Trump\u2019s indicated plans for a second term fall in line with the Project 2025 outline.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/01\/21\/magazine\/heritage-foundation-kevin-roberts.html\">New York Times<\/a>: <strong>\u201c[Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts] told me that he views Heritage\u2019s role today as \u2018institutionalizing Trumpism.\u2019 <\/strong>\u2026 The lesson of Trump\u2019s first year in office, Roberts told me, is that <strong>\u2018the Trump administration \u2026 simply got a slow start. And Heritage and our allies in Project 2025 believe that must never be repeated.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/elections\/2024\/08\/07\/trump-heritage-project-2025-roberts\/\">Washington Post<\/a>: \u201cTrump took a private flight with Project 2025 leader in 2022\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201c\u2018[The Heritage Foundation is] going to lay the groundwork and detail plans for exactly what our movement will do,\u2019 Trump said.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>JD Vance has deep ties to Project 2025 and has praised the extreme MAGA agenda as containing \u201cgood ideas.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/HeartlandSignal\/status\/1811494802665394616\">Vance<\/a>: <strong>\u201cI\u2019ve reviewed a lot of [Project 2025]. There are some good ideas in there.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/07\/25\/vance-project-2025-book-trump-heritage-foundation\">Axios<\/a>: <strong>\u201cJ.D. Vance wrote foreword of upcoming book from Project 2025 architect\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/newrepublic.com\/post\/183841\/project-2025-overjoyed-trump-vice-president-vance\">The New Republic<\/a>:<strong> \u201cProject 2025 Leader Is Overjoyed by Trump\u2019s Vice Presidential Pick\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NYTnickc\/status\/1812929037636923410\">Nick Corasaniti, New York Times<\/a>: \u201c[Roberts] reacted to the news [of Vance\u2019s VP selection] \u2018with a broad smile on my face\u2019 and said that <strong>\u2018privately, we were really rooting for him.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/politics\/360283\/jd-vance-trump-vp-vice-president-authoritarian\">Vox<\/a>: \u201cKevin Roberts, the president of the right-wing Heritage Foundation and the driving force behind Project 2025, told Ward that \u2018<strong>[Vance] is absolutely going to be one of the leaders \u2014 if not the leader \u2014 of our movement.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/interactives\/2024\/jd-vance-inner-circle-guide\/\">Politico<\/a>: <strong>\u201c[Project 2025 architect Russell Vought] told POLITICO Magazine that he is in \u2018regular contact\u2019 with Vance\u2019s Hill office and that \u2018we probably have one of the closest relationships with [Vance\u2019s] office that we do with any Hill office.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Trump and Vance have repeatedly echoed extreme Project 2025 plans, from banning abortion nationwide to cruel mass deportation schemes to tax giveaways for billionaires.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/rollcall.com\/2024\/06\/10\/dumping-ground-trump-echoes-conservative-project-2025-at-first-rally-as-a-felon\/\">Roll Call<\/a>: <strong>\u201c\u2018Dumping ground\u2019: Trump echoes conservative \u2018Project 2025\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/politics\/362917\/jd-vance-project-2025-book-kevin-roberts-trump\">Vox<\/a>: <strong>\u201cVance is on record supporting these [Project 2025] ideas. Last year, he signed a letter demanding that the Justice Department prosecute physicians and pharmacists \u2018who break the Federal mail-order abortion laws.\u2019<\/strong> In 2022, he said he was \u2018sympathetic\u2019 to the idea that the federal government should stop efforts to help women traveling out of their states to get abortions. \u2026 The second controversial area where <strong>Vance is sympatico with Project 2025 is centralizing presidential power over the executive branch.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theatlantic.com\/politics\/archive\/2023\/09\/trump-desantis-republicans-dismantle-deep-state\/675378\/\">The Atlantic<\/a>: \u201cAt the top of Vought and Dans\u2019s must-do list for the next president: reissuing an executive order that Trump signed during his final months in office\u2014and which President Joe Biden promptly reversed\u2014that <strong>would allow the government to remove civil-service protections <\/strong>from as many as 50,000 federal jobs. The move would create a new class of employees known as Schedule F whom the president could fire at will.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/politics\/conservatives-aim-to-restructure-u-s-government-and-replace-it-with-trumps-vision\">Associated Press<\/a>: \u201cTrump-era conservatives want to <strong>gut the \u2018administrative state\u2019 from within<\/strong>, by ousting federal employees they believe are standing in the way of the president\u2019s agenda and replacing them with like-minded officials more eager to fulfill a new executive\u2019s approach to governing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/politics\/361455\/jd-vance-trump-vice-president-rnc-speech\">Vox<\/a>: \u201c\u2018If I was giving him one piece of advice\u2019 for a second term, Vance said on a 2021 podcast: \u2018<strong>Fire every single mid level bureaucrat, every civil servant in the administrative state, replace them with our people.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/politics\/politics-features\/maga-plan-attack-birth-control-surveil-women-ban-abortion-pill-1234934807\/\">Rolling Stone<\/a>:<strong> <\/strong>\u201cInside the MAGA Plan to Attack Birth Control, Surveil Women and Ban the Abortion Pill\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cGOP operatives have already crafted an expansive blueprint, 887 pages long, laying out in painstaking detail how they intend to govern, including plans to leverage virtually every arm, tool and agency of the federal government to attack abortion access.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/politics\/politics-news\/trump-16-week-national-abortion-ban-1234970119\/\">Rolling Stone<\/a>: <strong>\u201cTrump Wants to Ban Abortion Nationwide: Report\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/08\/15\/politics\/russ-vought-project-2025-trump-secret-recording-invs\/index.html\">CNN<\/a>: \u201cVought said his group, the Center for Renewing America, was secretly drafting hundreds of executive orders, regulations, and memos that would lay the groundwork for rapid action on Trump\u2019s plans if he wins, describing his work as creating \u201cshadow\u201d agencies. <strong>He claimed that Trump has \u2018blessed\u2019 his organization and \u2018he\u2019s very supportive of what we do.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DNCWarRoom\/status\/1672786470049046528\">Trump<\/a>: <strong>\u201cThere of course remains a vital role for the federal government in protecting unborn life.
