Vance VP Debate Messaging Preview"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for a heads-up on the message JD Vance will lay out tonight at the VP debate, look no further than who he chose to help prepare him for it: noted&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/newrepublic.com\/post\/186318\/jd-vance-debate-prep-project-2025\">Project 2025 contributor<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/09\/23\/politics\/jd-vance-debate-prep\/index.html\">Monica Crowley<\/a>&nbsp;and other far-right MAGA lackeys backing their extreme agenda.The reality is even before he went into debate prep with a Project 2025 contributor, Vance made it clear that he\u2019s running with Donald Trump to enact the Project 2025 agenda.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vance has spent this entire campaign applauding the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/HeartlandSignal\/status\/1811494802665394616\">\u201cgood ideas\u201d<\/a>&nbsp;in Project 2025\u2019s radical blueprint in between&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/07\/25\/vance-project-2025-book-trump-heritage-foundation\">lavishing praise<\/a>&nbsp;on Project 2025 architects and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/democrats.org\/news\/jd-vance-is-fundraising-with-project-2025-leader-whose-organization-is-helping-to-implement-the-project-2025-agenda-to-ban-abortion-nationwide-with-or-without-congress\/\">begging for cash<\/a>&nbsp;from key Project 2025 leaders. One even admitted that&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NYTnickc\/status\/1812929037636923410\">\u201cprivately\u201d<\/a>&nbsp;Project 2025\u2019s backers&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NYTnickc\/status\/1812929037636923410\">\u201cwere really rooting for\u201d<\/a>&nbsp;Vance to join Trump\u2019s far-right ticket.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tonight, we can expect to see Vance double down on the same toxic Project 2025 plans he\u2019s supported all along \u2013 and here\u2019s a quick reminder of why:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Vance has claimed there are\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/HeartlandSignal\/status\/1811494802665394616\">\u201cgood ideas\u201d<\/a>\u00a0in Project 2025\u2019s radical agenda and explicitly\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.vox.com\/politics\/361455\/jd-vance-trump-vice-president-rnc-speech\">pushed<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/07\/17\/politics\/kfile-jd-vance-abortion-comments\/index.html\">policies<\/a>\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.forbes.com\/sites\/alisondurkee\/2024\/07\/18\/jd-vance-and-project-2025-want-to-use-this-19th-century-law-to-ban-abortion-without-congress\/\">that<\/a>\u00a0mirror some of its most extreme provisions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After Project 2025 leaders published a series of far-right essays echoing an extreme policy blueprint, Vance praised them as\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/09\/03\/us\/politics\/vance-heritage-report.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&amp;referringSource=articleShare&amp;sgrp=c-cb\">\u201cadmirable\u201d<\/a>\u00a0and served as the keynote speaker at their release.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vance\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/democrats.org\/news\/jd-vance-is-fundraising-with-project-2025-leader-whose-organization-is-helping-to-implement-the-project-2025-agenda-to-ban-abortion-nationwide-with-or-without-congress\/\">fundraised<\/a>\u00a0with a Project 2025 leader whose organization is explicitly\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/magazine\/2023\/09\/19\/project-2025-trump-reagan-00115811\">\u201chelping to implement\u201d<\/a>\u00a0the Project 2025 agenda.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Vance\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/07\/25\/vance-project-2025-book-trump-heritage-foundation\">wrote a glowing book foreword<\/a>\u00a0praising Project 2025\u2019s top architect with \u201cviolent\u201d rhetoric calling for revolution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/07\/11\/politics\/trump-allies-project-2025\/index.html\">140 former Trump administration officials<\/a>\u00a0are involved in crafting and pushing the Project 2025 agenda.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>After Trump picked Vance as his running mate, the lead author of Project 2025 admitted that\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NYTnickc\/status\/1812929037636923410\">\u201cprivately\u201d<\/a>\u00a0they\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/NYTnickc\/status\/1812929037636923410\">\u201cwere really rooting for [Vance]\u201d<\/a>\u00a0to be the pick.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The leader of the group spearheading the Project 2025 agenda has called their role\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/nytimes.com\/2024\/01\/21\/magazine\/heritage-foundation-kevin-roberts.html\">\u201cinstitutionalizing Trumpism\u201d<\/a>\u00a0and said it\u2019s what the Harris-Walz ticket is\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/democrats.org\/news\/project-2025-architect-affirms-the-trump-vance-ticket-is-running-on-the-project-2025-agenda\/\">\u201crunning against.\u201d<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s the truth (no embargo): no matter what Vance tries to say tonight on the debate stage, he and Trump have already shown us who they are when it comes to their close ties to Project 2025\u2019s&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/538\/americans-dont-project-2025\/story?id=112713286\">wildly unpopular<\/a>&nbsp;agenda.
