In response to JD Vance failing to confirm that he would accept election results in Arizona, <\/em>DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cJD Vance\u2019s refusal to confirm whether he will accept the results of the next election is exactly why Donald Trump picked an extreme election denier like him as a running mate. Trump knows Vance will do what his last vice president wouldn\u2019t \u2013 and put our freedom on the line as part of Trump\u2019s continuing assault against our democracy. While Trump and Vance spend the final days of this race spreading lies about the last election and conspiracy theories about this one, voters are ready to reject both of them in November.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Vance once again refused to confirm whether he will accept the results of this election and instead repeated bizarre conspiracy theories about previous elections.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Question<\/a>: \u201cThe election is two weeks from today. I’m not going to be asking you about four years ago, but from what you’ve seen, from what you’ve learned, are you confident in the Arizona election system, and are you going to accept the results moving forward?\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance: \u201cWell, look, I think that we’re in a better- I think that we’re in a better place than we were in 2020 and I think that what we’re going to keep on working on over the next couple of weeks. I mean, you saw this even in 2022 where some of the voting machines in Maricopa went down on Election Day. Now, whether, now again, whether you think that was just incompetence or something else, it’s not okay<\/strong>. We want every legal ballot to be cast and to be counted in the United States of America. So we’re going to keep on fighting for election integrity.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance is an extreme election denier who won\u2019t commit to accepting this November\u2019s election results, said he would not have certified the 2020 election, and continues to whitewash the violent January 6 insurrection.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Times<\/a>: \u201c[Vance] has said that, unlike Vice President Mike Pence in 2020, he would have helped Mr. Trump overturn the results<\/strong>, by accepting Trump electors that had not been elected by voters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bloomberg<\/a>: \u201c[Vance] has asserted that the 2020 presidential race was stolen from Donald Trump.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance<\/a>: \u201cI think the entire post-2020 thing would have gone a lot better if there had actually been an effort to provide alternative slates of electors<\/strong>, and to force us to have that debate. I think it would\u2019ve been a much better thing for the country. \u2026 [Trump] was trying to take a constitutional process to its natural conclusion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cI think it would\u2019ve been extraordinarily disappointing to a whole host of people that I care a lot about if Trump had just taken it [and conceded the 2020 election before January 6].\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance previously failed FIVE consecutive times to tell the truth about Donald Trump\u2019s loss in 2020 \u2013 and says he would not have certified the results.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHeading into the final three weeks of the 2024 election, Senator JD Vance of Ohio will still not say whether his running mate won or lost the last race for the White House.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn an interview with The New York Times that will be published on Saturday, Mr. Vance repeatedly refused to acknowledge former President Donald J. Trump\u2019s defeat and went to even greater lengths to avoid doing so than he did during the vice-presidential debate earlier this month. \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOn her fifth request for a yes-or-no answer, Ms. Garcia-Navarro pointed out that there was \u2018no proof, legal or otherwise,\u2019 of election fraud.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMr. Vance dismissed that as \u2018a slogan.\u2019 \u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c<\/strong>During his 90-minute debate with Mr. Walz, Mr. Vance twice refused to answer a direct question about whether Mr. Trump had lost the 2020 election. It was widely considered his weakest debate moment and may have turned off voters. In CNN\u2019s focus group of seven undecided Michigan voters who watched the debate, the only person who settled on a pick after the event said he would support Vice President Kamala Harris specifically because of Mr. Vance\u2019s refusal to acknowledge the 2020 election results. \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
