Forget <\/em>Longlegs \u2013 there is nothing scarier this Halloween than the Trump-Vance ticket\u2019s Project 2025 agenda and their extreme, out-of-touch plans to rip away our freedoms and undermine our democracy. This horrifying MAGA blueprint would ban abortion nationwide, gut health care access, and give Donald Trump virtually unchecked power to be a dictator on \u201cday one\u201d \u2013 but voters are having none of it this election.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

JUMP SCARE: Most Americans are opposed to the extreme, out-of-touch Trump-Vance Project 2025 agenda \u2013 and a plurality agree that it \u201caccurately describes\u201d Trump\u2019s plans for a second term.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigator Research<\/a>: \u201cA Majority of Americans Continue to Oppose Project 2025\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cProject 2025 remains deeply unpopular.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA majority of Americans oppose Project 2025<\/strong> (52 percent oppose \u2013 13 percent support), including three in four Democrats (net -69; 76 percent oppose \u2013 7 percent support), two in five independents (net -30; 40 percent oppose \u2013 10 percent support), and three in ten Republicans (net -8; 29 percent oppose \u2013 21 percent support). While Republicans who identify with the MAGA movement narrowly support Project 2025 (net +6; 30 percent support \u2013 24 percent support), it is underwater by 25 points among non-MAGA Republicans, of which only one in ten support it<\/strong> (10 percent support \u2013 35 percent support).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cProject 2025 is also widely opposed across racial groups, including at least half of Black Americans<\/strong> (net -43; 56 percent oppose \u2013 13 percent support), white Americans<\/strong> (net -38; 51 percent oppose \u2013 13 percent support), Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders<\/strong> (net -37; 13 percent support \u2013 50 percent oppose), and Hispanic Americans<\/strong> (net -35; 52 percent oppose \u2013 17 percent support) saying they oppose it\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAmericans believe Project 2025 accurately describes what Trump stands for by double-digit margins.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cA plurality of Americans believe that Project 2025 accurately describes what Trump stands for<\/strong> (48 percent agree \u2013 20 percent disagree \u2013 32 percent not sure), largely driven by Democrats (73 percent). A similar share says Project 2025 accurately describes what Republicans in Congress stand for <\/strong>(47 percent agree \u2013 19 percent disagree \u2013 34 percent not sure).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn an open-ended question asking those who have read, seen, or heard at least some about Project 2025, \u2018Trump\u2019 and \u2018abortion\u2019 have become increasingly cited by respondents over the last two months.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more the American people learn about Project 2025, the more they dislike it.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Navigator Research<\/a>: \u201cAmericans oppose all the key elements in Project 2025, with the greatest concerns around health care, worker\u2019s rights, and dismantling federal programs. <\/strong>Over four in five Americans oppose an array of policies proposed in Project 2025 such as \u2018allowing employers to stop paying hourly workers overtime\u2019 \u2026 Additionally, four in five oppose \u2018allowing the government to monitor people\u2019s pregnancies to potentially prosecute them if they miscarry.\u2019 \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAmericans\u2019 overall opposition to Project 2025 increases after reading about its specific policy goals\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThree in five Americans say Project 2025 would benefit the wealthiest Americans, CEOs, and corporations.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

FACT: Project 2025 is \u201cundeniably a Trump-driven operation.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axios<\/a>: \u201cThis is undeniably a Trump-driven operation.<\/strong> The biggest tell: Johnny McEntee \u2014 one of Trump’s closest White House aides, and his most fervent internal loyalty enforcer \u2014 is a senior adviser to Project 2025. One of the most powerful architects is Stephen Miller, a top West Wing adviser for the Trump administration.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Politico<\/a>: \u201cMany of the authors of the blueprint are former Trump officials, and the Heritage Foundation has spent the past year-plus recruiting people to implement the plans within the administration<\/strong>, Scott said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c\u2018So they don\u2019t just have a long, sprawling policy document,\u2019 he said, \u2018they also have a growing list of staff who are being tested to see if they are loyal to Trump and if they are willing to administer this in his potential administration.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhile groups like Heritage have put forward conservative policy proposals in the past, Scott said Project 2025 is distinct in that it\u2019s so comprehensive and far-reaching.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Week<\/a>: \u201cMany of Trump\u2019s indicated plans for a second term fall in line with the Project 2025 outline.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Times<\/a>: \u201cRoberts told me that he views Heritage\u2019s role today as \u2018institutionalizing Trumpism.\u2019 <\/strong>This includes leading Project 2025, a transition blueprint that outlines a plan to consolidate power in the executive branch, dismantle federal agencies and recruit and vet government employees to free the next Republican president from a system that Roberts views as stacked against conservative power. The lesson of Trump\u2019s first year in office, Roberts told me, is that \u2018the Trump administration \u2026 simply got a slow start. And Heritage and our allies in Project 2025 believe that must never be repeated.\u2019\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
