Donald Trump\u2019s final push before Election Day has been further shaded by RFK Jr. and his anti-science, fringe public health stances. In recent days, RFK Jr. has claimed that Trump would give him \u201ccontrol\u201d of public health agencies and that a Trump administration would immediately advise <\/em>removing fluoride from drinking water<\/em><\/a>, despite water fluoridation being considered one of the greatest public health advancements in the 20th century. <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump has backed him up, saying that he would let RFK Jr. \u201c<\/em>go wild<\/em><\/a>\u201d on health and <\/em>women\u2019s health<\/em><\/a> if elected.  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, DNC Senior Advisor Mary Beth Cahill released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOnce believed to be Donald Trump\u2019s secret weapon, RFK Jr. is offering nothing but baggage for the former president. By continuing to embrace RFK Jr.\u2019s fringe views about women\u2019s health, vaccines, and, now, fluoride in water, Trump is showing voters just how desperate he is and the extremists he\u2019ll surround himself with in a second administration. Both should terrify you.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
