In response to Trump and his MAGA minions threatening disaster relief for their own political gain, <\/em>DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement:  <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump is ripping away billions in critically needed relief for millions of Americans across the country as part of his selfish political games to put his extreme MAGA agenda ahead of the American people. Trump and his billionaire buddies like Elon Musk are once again making sure that Republicans side with the ultra-wealthy and special interests \u2013 and against the needs of working families.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Trump and his MAGA minions\u2019 petty political games could cost <\/strong>every state <\/em><\/strong>millions of dollars worth of essential disaster relief funding. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cFacing intense pressure of the federal government potentially shutting down within days and disaster aid coffers that need replenishment, lawmakers are racing to cobble together a temporary government funding plan after President-elect Donald Trump torpedoed their last package on Wednesday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe now-dead agreement would have kept the federal government operating through March 14, as well as provided nearly $100 billion in disaster aid and economic relief for farmers in rural communities. The deal would have also provided lawmakers with their first pay raise since 2009.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
