Once again RFK Jr. is proving he is unfit, untrustworthy, and unqualified to lead America\u2019s health agency \u2014 but new reporting sheds even more light on his history of financial mismanagement, corruption, and lying on financial disclosure forms while profiting off of dangerous conspiracy theories. The American people deserve public health officials who will put their health and wellbeing first \u2014 not a grifter focused on enriching himself and his friends. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here\u2019s a look at the latest coverage of RFK Jr.\u2019s long record of lying, corruption, and incompetence: <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Daily Beast<\/a>: \u201cRobert F. Kennedy Jr. failed to disclose hundreds of thousands of dollars he made from his anti-vax crusade, Donald Trump\u2019s transition team has admitted to the Daily Beast.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTrump\u2019s pick for health secretary previously said his career as the founder, chairman and general counsel of the nonprofit Children\u2019s Health Defense was \u2018unpaid\u2019 and \u2018the opposite of a profit motive.\u2019<\/strong> \u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cBut documents obtained by the Daily Beast show that Kennedy\u2014after being nominated by Trump for his Cabinet\u2014then quietly amended those forms to disclose that he had actually earned far more from his anti-vaccine nonprofit: a total of $1.2 million. <\/strong>\u2026 <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen he was a candidate for president during the 2024 election\u2014first as a Democrat, then as an independent\u2014Kennedy significantly underreported how much he made in the last two years he led the group: an omission of $431,156.72.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHe blamed the miscalculation on what he called \u2018an inadvertent error\u2019 because he conflated \u2018net pay\u2019 with \u2018gross wages,\u2019 an odd mistake for a multimillionaire who can afford professional accountants.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mother Jones<\/a>: \u201cAt RFK Jr.-Led Environmental Group, Insiders Questioned How He Spent $67 Million\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAt issue was at least $67 million that Kennedy\u2019s group had received<\/strong> and passed along over the previous six years\u2014an eye-popping amount for a non-profit that prior to this influx of money had annual revenues of about $4 million, according to its tax filings. \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cHis letter was prompted by a legal complaint that claimed WKA had \u2018funneled millions of dollars to the Bahamas\u2019 to assist Louis Bacon, a hedge-fund billionaire<\/strong> \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThrough 2023, the amount of money routed through Kennedy\u2019s organization<\/strong> to finance what was described in its tax records as a program in the Caribbean totaled $79 million<\/strong>. \u2026 Former WKA staff say this is a tremendously high figure for such cases and assert there was no sufficient public documentation that this funding was appropriately handled. <\/strong>\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNyg\u00e5rd listed a host of people and organizations supposedly involved or knowledgable of this alleged scheme, including Waterkeeper Alliance, Kennedy<\/strong>, and Fred Smith, a Bahamian lawyer and co-founder and board member of Save the Bays, the group that Kennedy and Bacon had helped to start.\u201d  <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
