In response to displays of antisemitism throughout Trump\u2019s inaugural ceremonies, <\/em>DNC Rapid Response Director Alex Floyd released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cOn Day One, as Donald Trump promised an inauguration speech of \u2018unity,\u2019 he and his top allies instead chose hate. Between Trump\u2019s close advisor Elon Musk doing Nazi salutes at an inauguration event and a Nazi sympathizer being invited to the ceremony, Trump and Musk are showing that they\u2019re not just unfit to lead but antithetical to our basic values as Americans.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

New York Times<\/a>: <\/strong>\u201cElon Musk,<\/strong> the world\u2019s richest man and a close adviser to President-elect Donald J. Trump<\/strong>, on Friday endorsed Germany\u2019s far-right party, a group with ties to neo-Nazis<\/strong> whose youth wing has been classified as \u2018confirmed extremist\u2019 by German domestic intelligence.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cOn Monday, Elon Musk invoked the names of two German Nazis in a tweet<\/strong> \u2026 attempting, as he so often does, to make a joke. \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIt was hardly Musk\u2019s first, and certainly not his most offensive, statement involving the Third Reich or their White supremacist progeny<\/strong>. Just last month, Musk promoted Tucker Carlson\u2019s widely condemned interview with a Nazi apologist<\/strong> who said the murder of Jews in concentration camps was \u2018humane\u2019 and that Winston Churchill was the \u2018chief villain\u2019 of World War II. Musk later deleted his X post that called the interview \u2018very interesting\u2019 and \u2018worth watching,\u2019 per the Independent.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cNazi sympathizer\u201d and January 6 rioter, Timothy Hale-Cusanelli, was reportedly invited to Trump\u2019s inauguration. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tom Dreisbach, NPR<\/a>: \u201cThe Jan. 6 rioter described by prosecutors as a \u2018Nazi sympathizer\u2019 who once went to work with a \u2018Hitler mustache\u2019 and compared Orthodox Jews to a \u2018plague of locusts\u2019 has posted his invite to inaugural ceremonies.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MSNBC<\/a>: \u201cProsecutors also said Hale-Cusanelli \u2018subscribes to White Supremacist and Nazi-Sympathizer ideologies<\/strong> that drive his enthusiasm for another civil war.\u2019 \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201c… court filings noted that 34 of Hale-Cusanelli\u2019s co-workers told investigators that he held \u2018extremist or radical views pertaining to the Jewish people, minorities, and women\u2019<\/strong> \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMcFadden said a supervisor had to counsel Hale-Cusanelli about his Hitler-style mustache<\/strong>, and said it was abundantly clear that he holds animus toward racial and religious groups, and had \u2018sexist, racist, and antisemitic\u2019 views.<\/strong>\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

REMINDER: Trump has a long history of embracing antisemitism, repeatedly praising Hitler, and attacking Jewish Americans.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cTrump allegedly reserved some of his most unnerving praise for Hitler, who led Nazi Germany during World War II. \u2026 \u2018[Trump] said, \u2018Well, but Hitler did some good things.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTrump\u2019s admiration for Hitler went further than the German leader\u2019s economic policies, according to Kelly. Trump also expressed admiration for Hitler<\/strong>\u2019s hold on senior Nazi officers. Trump lamented that Hitler, as Kelly recounted, maintained his senior staff\u2019s \u2018loyalty,\u2019 <\/strong>while Trump himself often did not.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Trump<\/a>: \u201cAny Jewish person who votes for Democrats hates their religion, hates Israel, and should be ashamed of themselves.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cTrump\u2019s comments are the latest in a series of controversial remarks he has been known to make about Jewish Americans. <\/strong>During his first campaign for president, Trump delivered a speech to the Republican Jewish Coalition that was rife with anti-Semitic stereotypes. More recently, he told conservative radio host Ari Hoffman that \u2018Israel literally owned Congress\u202610 years ago, 15 years ago\u2026 and today it\u2019s almost the opposite.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CNN<\/a>: \u201cTrump hosted Holocaust denier at Mar-a-Lago estate during visit with Kanye West, a week after announcing 2024 run\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Axios<\/a>: \u201cFormer President Trump dined and conversed with white nationalist Nick Fuentes and rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, at his Mar-a-Lago resort on Tuesday night, according to two sources familiar with the matter. \u2026 Fuentes, who frequently promotes racist and anti-Semitic conspiracy theories<\/strong>, had been spotted with Ye at Mar-a-Lago, but reports erroneously suggested he did not have dinner with the former president.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
