In the past month, the DNC has filed three briefs challenging MAGA Republicans\u2019 attempts to disenfranchise voters in Nevada, North Carolina, and Georgia and won a big case before the Wisconsin Supreme Court<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As Republicans continue to launch a nationwide campaign to infringe on Americans\u2019 voting rights and undermine democracy, the DNC is tackling Republican challenges head-on. This month alone, the DNC fought back against North Carolina Republicans\u2019 attempts to steal a fair and free election in both federal and state court, opposed Republicans\u2019 challenge to mail voting in Nevada, and filed an amicus brief against MAGA Republicans\u2019 attempt to enact new state election rules in Georgia that would cause delays in election results and sow distrust in our election system. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the DNC also won a massive case in Wisconsin, which will allow the state to  continue to provide mobile sites to voters and limit the ability of individual Republicans to clog up the legal system with meritless attacks on the right to vote in the future. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Democratic National Committee is challenging the Republican National Committee\u2019s effort to block a law in Nevada that allows mail ballots postmarked by Election Day and received within four days of the election to be counted. On Thursday, the Democrats filed a brief in the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals arguing that the RNC failed to prove that it was harmed by Nevada\u2019s ballot deadline.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In North Carolina: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn the brief filed Tuesday, the DNC argues that the state Supreme Court let the earlier Wake County Superior Court decision stand. \u2018Voters may not be retroactively disenfranchised based upon technical defects in their voter registration,\u2019 the brief states. Republicans, it continues, \u2018have provided no evidence that any of the voters they challenge are not qualified to register and vote, so this Court should uphold its long-established precedents rejecting challenges to eligible voters’ ballots based on technical defects in their registration, consistent with federal and state law prohibiting retroactive disenfranchisement of voters.\u2019\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
