Democrats will target four vulnerable Republicans who are poised to gut Medicaid and other critical programs \u2013 Tom Barrett (MI-07), Don Bacon (NE-02), Mike Lawler (NY-17), and Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01) <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As House Republicans put health care on the chopping block for 80 million<\/a> Americans in order to give billionaires trillions in tax handouts, <\/strong>Democrats are launching the \u201cFight to Save Medicaid\u201d month of action to put vulnerable House Republicans on notice as they\u2019re poised to once again vote to rip health care access from their constituents. The initiative kicks off with the launch of a new organizing program at the DNC, which will empower thousands of energized grassroots volunteers to make their voices heard in the fight to save our health care.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DNC\u2019s organizing program will <\/strong>empower everyday Americans with the resources and know-how to hold Republican representatives accountable and build grassroots power ahead of critical statewide and midterm elections in 2025 and 2026. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The DNC\u2019s distributed organizing program builds on the committee\u2019s direct action initiatives like the People\u2019s Town Halls<\/a>, employing both traditional organizing tactics and an innovative network organizing approach to transform passive supporters from the 2024 cycle into a fleet of active volunteer organizers and communicators. Supporters will receive opportunities to take direct action both online and offline, while developing the skills to activate their personal networks to expand our base of grassroots volunteers. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In its first campaign within its distributed organizing program, the DNC will partner with the DCCC to target four of the most vulnerable House Republicans, challenging them to listen to their constituents and vote against Trump\u2019s budget bill and their party\u2019s dangerous cuts to Medicaid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Democrats will empower battleground voters to send a clear message directly to Tom Barrett (MI-07), Don Bacon (NE-02), Mike Lawler (NY-17), and Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-01)<\/em>: A deeply unpopular vote against Medicaid this month will cost you your seat come the midterms.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To accompany the pressure campaign launch, Democrats will host a new round of People\u2019s Town Halls in some of these vulnerable Republicans\u2019 districts during the month of May and activate supporters across the country to put pressure on these Republican members of Congress<\/strong> through:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
