On the anniversary of the shooting at Robb Elementary School, DNC Chair Ken Martin issued the following statement:<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen you send your kid to school, you shouldn\u2019t have to worry if they\u2019ll make it home. But three years ago in Uvalde, that fear became a reality for 21 families \u2014 19 of them losing children in a mass shooting. On this heartbreaking anniversary, we remember their lives and the countless others lost to gun violence. Our kids deserve better. Enough is enough.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cWhen Democrats controlled both chambers of Congress and the White House, they made real progress toward addressing the gun violence epidemic \u2014 from creating the first-ever White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention to signing the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act. But while Democrats push for stronger background checks and an assault weapons ban, MAGA Republicans keep siding with the gun lobby over our kids\u2019 safety. Thoughts and prayers aren\u2019t enough \u2014 we need action.
