That cash can help state parties hire more staff, open new field offices and conduct research that helps state parties hone the right message.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Martin, in an interview, recounted a conversation he had with Brandon Presley, the Mississippi Democrat who came within 3 percentage points of defeating incumbent Gov. Tate Reeves.
