If Trump gets his way, millions of Americans could lose coverage as health care costs skyrocket. Destroying an extremely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/interactive\/kff-health-tracking-poll-the-publics-views-on-the-aca\/#?response=Favorable--Unfavorable&amp;aRange=twoYear\">popular<\/a> program \u2014 which is a lifeline for millions \u2014 is not an \u2018America First\u2019 agenda, and Republicans will face the consequences in the midterms. \u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NEW REPORT: Donald Trump and the GOP\u2019s disastrous budget will rip away health care from millions of Americans covered by the Affordable Care Act by:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Causing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/06\/05\/upshot\/obamacare-cuts-republicans.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&amp;referringSource=articleShare\">4.2 million<\/a> Americans to lose coverage by letting subsidies expire<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Making coverage more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/06\/05\/upshot\/obamacare-cuts-republicans.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&amp;referringSource=articleShare\">expensive<\/a>\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Threatening insurance marketplaces, which help <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/0a6\/05\/upshot\/obamacare-cuts-republicans.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&amp;referringSource=articleShare\">24 million<\/a> Americans get access to health care\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Burying working families in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/0a6\/05\/upshot\/obamacare-cuts-republicans.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&amp;referringSource=articleShare\">paperwork<\/a>, while making it harder to sign up for insurance and qualify for tax credits\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>The American people overwhelmingly support the Affordable Care Act and enrollment is at a record high.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/06\/05\/upshot\/obamacare-cuts-republicans.html?smid=nytcore-ios-share&amp;referringSource=articleShare\">New York Times<\/a>:<strong> \u201cObamacare enrollment is at a record high. <\/strong>The marketplaces include Americans who don\u2019t get insurance from their jobs, including low-income gig workers, middle-income freelancers and high-income entrepreneurs.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/interactive\/kff-health-tracking-poll-the-publics-views-on-the-aca\/#?response=Favorable--Unfavorable&amp;aRange=twoYear\">KFF Poll<\/a>: <strong>\u201c64% of Americans hold a favorable view of the Affordable Care Act\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.kff.org\/health-reform\/poll-finding\/5-charts-about-public-opinion-on-the-affordable-care-act-and-the-supreme-court\/\">KFF Poll<\/a>: \u201c<strong>[T]wo-thirds of the public say it is \u2018very important\u2019 for [key Affordable Care Act] provisions to remain law, including majorities of Democrats and independents.<\/strong> About half of Republicans say each of these protections for people with pre-existing conditions are \u2018very important.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>After failing to repeal the ACA during his first term, Trump is hellbent on trying to get the job done and risking protections for over <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ny1.com\/nyc\/all-boroughs\/news\/2023\/02\/28\/biden-gop-budget-would-put-health-care-on-chopping-block\"><strong>100 million<\/strong><\/a><strong> Americans with preexisting conditions.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/presidential-actions\/2025\/01\/initial-rescissions-of-harmful-executive-orders-and-actions\/\">White House<\/a>: <strong>\u201cThe following executive actions are hereby revoked:<\/strong> \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>\u201cExecutive Order 14009 of January 28, 2021 (Strengthening Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act).\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cms.gov\/newsroom\/fact-sheets\/ensuring-access-medicaid-services-final-rule-cms-2442-f\">Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services<\/a>: \u201cExecutive Order 14009 in 2021 established the policy objective to<strong> protect and strengthen Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act (ACA), and to make high-quality health care accessible and affordable for every American.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/latino\/4335250-biden-latino-voters-trump-obamacare\/\">The Hill<\/a>: <strong>\u201cOn the campaign trail, Trump has doubled down on his promise to repeal the ACA, a feat he fell one vote short of in 2017.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/trump-obamacare-health-care-biden-c2b1f5776310870deed2fb997b07fc2c\">Associated Press<\/a>: \u201c<strong>Trump says he will renew efforts to replace \u2018Obamacare\u2019 if he wins a second term\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/l7N0Ibo7n7o\">Kristen Welker, NBC News<\/a>: \u201cSir, you said during the campaign, you have concepts of a plan. Do you have an actual plan at this point for health care?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump: \u201cYes. <strong>We have concepts of a plan that would be better.<\/strong>\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Welker: \u201cStill just concepts? Do you have a fully developed plan?\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Trump: \u201cLet me explain. We have the biggest health care companies looking at it.
