In response to the Trump administration failing to provide basic answers after unilaterally bombing Iran, <\/em>DNC Chair Ken Martin released the following statement:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump ignored the Constitution and failed to get congressional approval for his act of war \u2014 now he has no idea what to do next. Instead of providing the American people with clear answers, the Trump administration can\u2019t even get themselves on the same page and answer basic questions or provide a plan for peace. Was the strike successful? Did they ignore US intelligence? Are we at war? This afternoon, people are scared, servicemembers\u2019 lives are at risk, and our national security is on the line. Donald Trump owes the American people answers, not false bravado.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Trump and his administration can\u2019t agree on if their strike on Iran was successful. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Trump<\/a>: \u201cIran\u2019s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kristen Welker<\/a>: \u201cDo you have 100% confidence that Iran\u2019s nuclear sites were totally destroyed?\u201d<\/strong> \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

JD Vance: \u201cI feel very confident that we have substantially delayed their development<\/strong> of a nuclear weapon\u201d \u2026 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welker: \u201cSubstantially delayed by years? What does substantially\u2013\u201d \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance: \u201cI think that we have really pushed their program back<\/strong> by a very long time. I think that it’s going to be many, many years before the Iranians are able to develop a nuclear weapon.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jonathan Karl<\/a>: \u201cCan we say that definitively, or are we just not sure yet?<\/strong> I mean, have those facilities been obliterated?\u201d \u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vance: \u201cWhat we know is we set their nuclear program back substantially<\/strong>. \u2026 That was the objective of the mission, to destroy that Fordow nuclear site<\/strong> \u2026 we feel very confident that the Fordow nuclear site was substantially set back.\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reporter<\/a>: \u201cBut do you believe that some nuclear capability in Iran remains?\u201d \u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chairman of the Joint Chiefs Dan Caine: \u201cIt would be way too early for me to comment on what may or may not still be there,<\/strong> but thanks for the question.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Trump administration admitted they ignored their own intelligence, saying it was \u201cirrelevant\u201d and \u201cforget about intelligence.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Margaret Brennan<\/a>: \u201cAre you saying there that the United States did not see intelligence that the Supreme Leader had ordered weaponization?\u201d<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Marco Rubio: \u201cThat\u2019s irrelevant.<\/strong> I think that question being asked in the media, that\u2019s an irrelevant question.\u201d \u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
