With the most <a href=\"https:\/\/equitablegrowth.org\/congressional-republicans-budget-bill-is-the-most-regressive-in-at-least-40-years\/\">regressive<\/a> budget in 40 years \u2014 and possibly ever \u2014 Republicans are funneling money into the pockets of Trump and the GOP\u2019s ultra-wealthy friends while devastating the livelihoods of millions of seniors, children, and working families. The GOP has made their priorities clear: billionaires first, working families last.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CAPAction\/status\/1939718514212000240\"><strong>WATCH<\/strong><\/a><strong>: Senator Ron Wyden and Senate Democrats fighting to protect Medicaid, voting to block any cuts to Medicaid.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/lh7-rt.googleusercontent.com\/docsz\/AD_4nXdY16Jhyr4nOXiWWLIvJgMgAGjJVXRZo1uSBFVAh_wfF6NWr-GdLVja6yNiov9okVayVk9HRnxJYoe0xKMEyb4dwFe89ddvGn9ZgnR8Pu9h8wkkQeGALj8VB6olXJwrNCzadjpabw?key=cs1P5eJ3Snnp7lod0SacfQ\" alt=\"\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CAPAction\/status\/1939718514212000240\">Senator Ron Wyden<\/a>: \u201cIt is now clear that <strong>there is bipartisan opposition in the Senate to the Medicaid cuts in this bill. That\u2019s because it\u2019s the biggest Medicaid cut in history and represents the largest transfer of wealth in history. <\/strong>It is caviar over kids, hedge funds over health care, Mar-a-Lago over the middle class. \u2026&nbsp; <strong>Seniors are going to lose care at home and be left with fewer nursing homes and fewer nurses. Kids with disabilities will lose health care.<\/strong> \u2026 Never have I seen legislation focused on denying health care to eligible Americans. <strong>This amendment is an opportunity to take these awful Medicaid cuts off the table <\/strong>and find another way forward.\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Republicans voted against protecting Medicaid, devastating seniors, children, rural folks, and working families across the country.&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SenateCloakroom\/status\/1939720779676962987\">Senate Cloakroom<\/a>:<strong> \u201cNot agreed to, 47-53:<\/strong> Wyden motion to commit Cal. #107, H.R.1, One Big Beautiful Bill Act, to the Finance Committee with instructions.
