Donald Trump:<\/a> \u201cThey come up with this, I don\u2019t know what the hell it is<\/strong>, it\u2019s Project 2025, \u2018He\u2019s involved in Project,\u2019 and then they read some of the things, and they are extreme, I mean, they\u2019re seriously extreme. But I don\u2019t know anything about it.<\/strong> I don\u2019t want to know anything about it.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

CHASER: \u2026now Trump openly praises Russ Vought \u2014 the architect of Project 2025 \u2014 and is working with him to implement mass layoffs during his government shutdown.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Trump:<\/a> \u201cI have a meeting today with Russ Vought, he of PROJECT 2025 Fame<\/strong>,\u00a0to determine which of the many Democrat Agencies, most of which are a political SCAM, he recommends to be cut, and whether or not those cuts will be temporary or permanent.\u201d\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Donald Trump:<\/a> \u201cI read enough about it. They have some things that are very conservative and very good.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, DNC Deputy Rapid Response Deputy Jaelin O\u2019Halloran released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cDonald Trump spent months on the campaign trail lying to voters, claiming<\/a> that he had \u2018nothing to do with Project 2025.\u2019 Now, Trump admits he\u2019s working directly with its chief architect to plan mass layoffs and agency cuts during his government shutdown. Project 2025 has always been Trump\u2019s playbook, and nine months into his presidency, he\u2019s already enacted<\/a> nearly half of its proposals \u2014 showing no sign of stopping. It\u2019s no surprise Trump would use this plan to consolidate power for himself, and Vought is clearly happy to help. Together, they\u2019re advancing a dangerous agenda that has sown chaos and dysfunction at the expense of working families.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reminder:<\/strong> Project 2025 includes<\/a> plans to fire thousands of federal workers and consolidate presidential power.
