Finding a job is becoming nearly impossible. Just this week, the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) revealed that there are fewer job openings than unemployed workers<\/a>. It\u2019s all because of Donald Trump\u2019s reckless economic agenda. And now, as the Republican shutdown continues, threats of mass layoffs loom all the while Trump and Republicans refuse to extend health care tax credits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From construction and manufacturing to trade and transportation, job growth across sectors is stalling. Not to mention, around 62%<\/strong> of Latino-owned businesses saw a decrease in revenue<\/a> last quarter, experiencing the largest share of revenue decline, according to Small Business Majority. And for Latinos, Trump\u2019s economic failures have translated to a higher unemployment rate<\/a> compared to white Americans. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

If Americans have not been struggling enough with high inflation and rising prices, they now have to worry about fewer job opportunities. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In response, DNC Senior Spokesperson Marcus W. Robinson released the following statement: <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe economy is taking a nosedive, leaving more and more Americans jobless. Now, there are fewer job openings than unemployed workers, and with inflation and grocery prices continuing to rise, we are fully entrenched in Trump\u2019s economy. More than half of Latino voters are worried about potential job losses. It\u2019s clear that Donald Trump and Republicans don\u2019t have a plan and couldn\u2019t care less, especially as key economic sectors shed jobs and prices continue to rise on everyday goods like food, clothing, and toys.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Conveniently, as it becomes ever more certain that Trump\u2019s job market is tanking, Trump\u2019s White House is choosing<\/a> to suspend the monthly BLS jobs reports while they shut down the government. Trump can\u2019t hide from his own reality. The economy is a disaster, which is why poll after poll shows that Latino voters disapprove of how Trump is handling it.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The outlook is bleak: More than half<\/a> of Latino voters feel that the economy is worsening, and even more view it negatively. Even worse for Trump is that he\u2019s 50 points underwater<\/a> on handling the cost of living (23% approve to 73% disapprove) among Latinos, according to Equis Research. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
