Ed Gillespie claims he wants to govern for “all Virginians,” but so far Virginians have only heard silence from Gillespie on the Cassidy-Graham-Heller repeal plan, which will cut<\/a> funding in Virginia by $3.833 billion in 2027 alone. The plan would leave more Virginia families struggling to find affordable, high-quality health care coverage. Gillespie has remained consistently silent on Republican repeal efforts, but at tonight’s debate, Gillespie should come clean and once and for all say if he supports this latest attempt to strip health care away from millions.<\/p>\n

“It’s clear that the Cassidy-Graham-Heller repeal bill is just as bad, if not worse, than all the other Republican health care repeal plans, and it’s time for Ed Gillespie to take a stand on the issue. This bill guts Medicaid, cuts crucial funding all across the country and makes it more expensive for seniors, people with disabilities, and families with children to access quality health care,” said DNC Spokesperson Elizabeth Renda. “If Gillespie wants to fight for all Virginians, he should stand up to Donald Trump and the Republican Senators who have tried this before, because Virginians have sent them a clear message: they have had enough of Republican efforts to repeal the Affordable Care Act.”<\/p>\n
