Republicans have been lying to the American people about their tax plan, but some of them are finally starting to tell the truth: It’s designed for big corporations and the American people don’t like it.<\/p>\n

Republican’s tax plan is designed to please their corporate donors, not middle-class families.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Steven Mnuchin<\/a>: “Lots of people, lots of CEOs, have had input into this.”<\/p>\n

Sen. Lindsey Graham<\/a>: “The financial contributions will stop” if tax reform fails.<\/p>\n

Rep. Chris Collins<\/a>: “My donors are basically saying, ‘get it done or don’t ever call me again.’”<\/p>\n

Steven Law<\/a>, President Of McConnell-Allied Super PAC: “‘[Donors] would be mortified if we didn’t live up to what we’ve<\/p>\n

committed to on tax reform.”<\/p>\n

Donald Trump<\/a>: “I had to throw in the estate tax just to give” something to rich people. <\/p>\n

The only people excited about the Republican tax plan are CEOs who will benefit the most.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Gary Cohn<\/a>: “Our biggest supporters are really the business roundtable. When you talk to all the CEOs — they’re the most excited about this.”<\/p>\n

On Tuesday night, voters rejected Republicans and their harmful tax proposals.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Washington Post<\/a>: “Senate Finance Committee Chairman Orrin G. Hatch (R-Utah) said the losses could shape the tax bill going forward. ‘I mean, it could, because the elections went against the Republicans,’ Hatch said in a brief morning interview.”<\/p>\n

Reuters<\/a>: “Americans are more likely to believe the wealthy will benefit most from the tax reform currently being pushed in the U.S. Congress by Republicans who insist their goal is to help the middle class, according to a Reuters\/Ipsos opinion poll released on Thursday.”<\/p>\n
