Kenyatta also served a delegate to the 2016 Democratic National Convention hosted by the DNC.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"m_-4364287344808671310gmail-docs-internal-guid-59d750c9-d6b3-3fee-3a27-e6a24ea36288\">Kristen Seale (HD-168):<\/span> Seale is the <a data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.equalityvoter.com\/spotlight-on-out-candidates&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1528402345807000&amp;usg=AFQjCNExEcbV-i8IMnjOG5X985BWSA3yAg\" href=\"https:\/\/www.equalityvoter.com\/spotlight-on-out-candidates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">first openly queer Democratic nominee<\/a> in Pennsylvania. If elected, she will be the first openly LGBTQ woman in the Pennsylvania state House.<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"m_-4364287344808671310gmail-docs-internal-guid-59d750c9-d6b3-3fee-3a27-e6a24ea36288\">Daniel Smith Jr. (HD-12):<\/span> <a data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/www.equalityvoter.com\/spotlight-on-out-candidates&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1528402345807000&amp;usg=AFQjCNExEcbV-i8IMnjOG5X985BWSA3yAg\" href=\"https:\/\/www.equalityvoter.com\/spotlight-on-out-candidates\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Smith <\/a>is challenging Republican Rep. Daryl Metcalfe, one of the most anti-LGBTQ state legislators in Pennsylvania, who sued to prevent a gay couple from marrying, introduced legislation banning same-sex marriage and said openly gay Rep. Brian Sims was a &ldquo;lying homosexual&rdquo; and &ldquo;in open rebellion against God&rsquo;s law.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"m_-4364287344808671310gmail-docs-internal-guid-59d750c9-d6b3-3fee-3a27-e6a24ea36288\">OREGON<\/span><\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\"><span id=\"m_-4364287344808671310gmail-docs-internal-guid-59d750c9-d6b3-3fee-3a27-e6a24ea36288\">Jamie McLeod-Skinner (OR-02): &nbsp;McLeod-Skinner was the <\/span><a data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=http:\/\/www.ebar.com\/news\/news\/260012&amp;source=gmail&amp;ust=1528402345807000&amp;usg=AFQjCNHOjBKBXunlu-BTAG479j8GLhpNFg\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ebar.com\/news\/news\/260012\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">first out lesbian elected to the Santa Clara City Council <\/a>and will be taking on Congressman Greg Walden, former chair of the NRCC.
